What processes are available for the efl etc to actually force the club to open up their activities for proper scrutiny?

Fgr chap saying ken knew we couldn't meet contract's terms is very strong- at what point could this become fraudulent?

Can the police become involved?

So much up in the air, some genuine clarification needed from somewhere.

thats bollocks

simple defence would be that his major backer passed away within days

Are you suggesting its possible that Ken Anderson - the owner of the business DIDN'T know whether we could afford the contract or not?

Of course he knew. The EFL couldn't necessarily know - and even if they did how do they know that Ken wasn't going to loan the money to the club?

It isn't a police matter - but it is a question of what can the EFL do? The problem is any punishments (which will surely come) will hit the club and not the owner. So we'll pay for Anderson for decades. And at the very least he'll have £500K for his £1 investment. Sure two years work for £500K isn't what he wanted...but he'll be ok.

as posted above, the deal was made when ED was around

and we still dont know about the 500k

If Doidge had been seriously injured playing for Bolton it would have been very bad for the player.

Bolton would have pulled out of all committment for the player.

FGR would have wanted compensation from BWFC and CD would have been up the creek.

see, i think thats the unknown

this was, i think, the first window that allowed these deals outside the windown

my understanding is that the deal is done and its just that final registrations couldnt go through

obv, KA is making up his own rules, maybe to get the price reduced

I hope youre right but you can see why they have recalled him.

definitely

and to be clear i was just suggesting that there is no way out of these loan to buys

unless you just act the cnut and refuse to pay

i dont think being shit or getting injured is a way out

We weren't even able to pay his wages! ED - Ken's backer....please. He bailed us out because he didn't want the club to slip into admin.

If we really were doing deals on the basis there wasn't the cash flow to pay for them but that ED would bail us out....that's as shocking as anything else.

you can use whatever term you want to describe EDs role

if hes putting money in, hes backing him

and to think KA was meant to be DH's backer

He loaned KA money who then loaned it to the club.

The idea that was a part of a long term business plan and that when he died it meant we couldn't even afford to honour existing contracts....is something else.

Let's hope so. But he's said it, and mentioned taking action. Guess we'll see.

Maybe he would have been if Holdsworth had put in £5 million of his own money as per the plan.

KA found himself on day one having to find £10 million (no not a typing error) just to get back to the position he thought he'd started at!

Hardly unreasonable of him not putting in any of his own money in until Holdsworth's £5 million BM loan had been repaid and the initial £5 million funding DH  should have put in originally be put in by someone else to get back to the position he was brought in for - well was it?

Edit - just to make clear that this is a general statement from me and not specifically aimed at you Zico.

So Eddie wrote off millions in debt to sell the club to Holdsworth and Anderson for £1, who's contribution was to put in a £5m pay-day loan, which Eddie then ended up paying off. And when all's said and done Deano and Ken will likely emerge in profit from their dealings with BWFC, while Eddie is now dead and his estate will end up having lost more money, and possibly back in charge of the dying football club they tried to get rid of.

Wild.

Wow

No wonder nobody will do business with him ffs

Makes it all the more likely now, if that’s his stance.

Is he gagging for administration or playing hardball to the nth degree?

Serious question

I don't believe he has any money in to claim back. So yes its not a bad outcome for him. However, it depends how likely he thinks it is he'll make a million or two from a sale. That's a lot to lose...otherwise admin within a few weeks I suspect.
