Ken's in hiding.

Which isn't helping at all.

I understand staying away from the games, as not to be a sideshow, but the silence is alarming

Correct Traf,

I’ve always been swaying towards Ken’s corner but nothing from him is alarming

i was hoping it was due to an NDA and something was going through but presumably the ST would have to know about that as it would involve the sale of the ground?

I was hoping this too, but sale of the club might not include sale of ground with it now being a protected asset.

I’d like to think that his silence is due to work behind the scenes but he used to be very quick at addressing the fans

reslly don’t know

I saw it as he was quick to address the fans in terms of "setting them straight" (i.e. his alternate side of the story) or having a pop at someone (Iles, Heathcote, Sheff Utd etc)

his last two statements were to tell us that he'd banned Iles and that he thought he'd sorted the players wages issue out himself

to me the fact he's quiet suggests the reports are correct, or there isn't anyone else he can have a pop at, so it's best to keep a low profile

Unless he’s finally realised that giving the world chapter and verse has got him nowhere and he’s just not bothering.

cant say I’d blame him.

that said, the silence is poorly timed so let’s just hope for the more sane amongst us that he’s actually just doing his job and ignoring the mentalists.

I wouldn't say anything unless it was positive.

There is only so much spin he can spout before even his own spin has to backtrack to cover up yet more lies.

Face it, he's been having us on. About many things.

He hasn't been funding the club. Just hoping he could hold it together by robbing Peter to pay Paul long enough so he could sail off with a few million quid.

It hasn't worked and now we're in for the consequences.

All it will take is a 'dont panic' statement and everyone will end up with egg on their faces like last time.  Ive learned not to spout off until knowing the facts, but at the end of the day its his business to run how he likes, nothing to do with us really.

re football creditors

do we actually know the pfa lent us money?

or is it still possible the football creditors are norwich and forest green

We don't know anything. I suspect though given the fact the allegation has been made (effectively one that calls KA a liar)  that were it not true, Ken would have been on to correct it at the very least.

edit - wrong thread

Statement from the ST Board

Once again, the name of BWFC has been dragged through the mud as the FGR chair, Dale Vince has posted this evening that Christian Doidge will be returning to his parent club, instead of signing for BWFC in the planned £1m deal.

This situation cannot, in all honesty, continue. We have requested on several occasions that our current owner, Mr Anderson, meets with us to allow us to better understand the challenges that he is facing and also in the hope that he can give the BWFC supporters some assurances that the immediate future of our club is not in jeopardy.

We wrote to him on Friday to ask again that he engages in some meaningful dialogue. To date, we have had no response.

The distressed situation that Mr Anderson inherited in March ’16 has been very well documented. We understand that tough decisions have had to be made. However, there seems to be no light whatsoever at the end of this long tunnel and the concerns of the BWFC supporters are growing almost daily.

We are also in the process of contacting the EFL once again in an attempt to engage with them.

All we can add at this stage is that we merely want to assist wherever possible and find out where this may be practical.

We would also like to express our dissapointment for Christian and his family and wish him all the best for the future.

You'd presume that the Chief Sports Reporter at The Times would be getting his information straight from the PFA, or at least have the sources to check. Don't know why they'd lie about it.

And I have more time for the ST than most on here (which is to say, more than zero), but there's only so many times you can say 'this can't continue' without it looking ridiculous. Of course it can continue, it is continuing and will be continuing until Ken says otherwise.

Think there are 2 groups, those who want Anderson out whatever the consequences and those who want him out with a plan for what happens next.

group a - agitators with no actual plan.

group b - people thinking about what happens next.

You would have to be a nutter or totally niaive to think the first group is our best bet.

I am really getting tired of all this we are becoming a joke KA is acting like Arthur Daly he really needs to make a statement soon because any support he as is dwindling fast.

Group B for me. Deffo want him out. Obviously needs a plan b. Next step would be to see if between him and Davies family they can remove the clauses that made admin looking more interesting to potential buyers recently.

so basically, everyone wants KA out

any plan is out of everyones hands, so whatever happens next is not down to the will of either group

it's down to KA and what he choose to do based on what his options are, and it will be the one which benefits him the most, and not the club

seems that he's increasingly being forced into a corner where he'll have to do something to get out of the club quickly (sale, admin, whatever), or, preusmabaly lose lots of money (by keeping things a float for a bit longer)

so in essence, nowt has changed since the day he first came on board, it's just the clock is now ticking more than ever it seems

It’s apparent he hasn’t put his own money in. And won’t do. The well has run dry. So as you say a buyer in next to no time or.....

What processes are available for the efl etc to actually force the club to open up their activities for proper scrutiny?

Fgr chap saying ken knew we couldn't meet contract's terms is very strong- at what point could this become fraudulent?

Can the police become involved?

So much up in the air, some genuine clarification needed from somewhere.

Are you suggesting its possible that Ken Anderson - the owner of the business DIDN'T know whether we could afford the contract or not?

Of course he knew. The EFL couldn't necessarily know - and even if they did how do they know that Ken wasn't going to loan the money to the club?

It isn't a police matter - but it is a question of what can the EFL do? The problem is any punishments (which will surely come) will hit the club and not the owner. So we'll pay for Anderson for decades. And at the very least he'll have £500K for his £1 investment. Sure two years work for £500K isn't what he wanted...but he'll be ok.
