March 1, 20188 yr I’ve been on it for years. Never really come across any attention seekers. Mainly use it to keep in touch with friends and family in distant lands. Only have small number of friends on it so don’t get to see shit from people that I’m not interested in. Get the MEN and BEN on it so keep in touch with news that I want. Don’t see a problem with it. Twatter is far worse from what I’ve heard

March 1, 20188 yr People slag off FB, from it today I've seen a video showing the main road at the top of my street is impassible and then instructions on how to fix a frozen condenser pipe and get your central heating running again. Although mine being upstairs was a right fucker to get boiling water onto it safely. So it's not all bad.

General gist was that FB and G are controlling what goes out, often at the behest of the Clinton Foundation, and limiting anything right of centre whilst applying 'positive discrimination' to things left of centre. Whatever your political persuasion, if this is all confirmed to be true, anyone with democratic principles must be concerned by this. I have long held the view that 'social engineering' has been around for a long time - from the days when religions held the population in check using 'fear of God' and 'eternal damnation' as threatening weapons to the more recent application of political correctness as a means of quietening dissident voices and suppressing contrary opinions. I think it's bollocks, I use FB and i didn't vote for Clinton Seriously though, however they may choose to filter content through their algorithms, and I'm sure they do, Google and Facebook are big and powerful enough to do it how they want, and not how the Clintons or anyone else tells them too
