  • Funny how many people deactivate due to attention seeking and then post on a forum saying how they have done so......basically attention seeking.   I find it decent for staying in contact with folk

  • Saw an interesting current affairs programme down here today about alarming links between Facebook, Google and the Clinton Foundation.   General gist was that FB and G are controlling what goes out,

  • They believed this bollocks...

Is there any chance Facebook can filter it so that anyone who posts a picture of their dinner is taken out by a sniper within half an hour?

What about airport drinks?

Facebook to show plebs like Kent how amazing my london life is.

Instagram to show fat bastards how amazing I am running around in circles.

Twitter to show how amazing I am at my job.

Likes/posts/and feedback loops. As long as you know what you’re getting out of it, then it’s fine. But in my job they are all just selling channels.

And posts about Brexit

I seem to be getting a load of middle aged women I've known sharing pictures of dogs that have gone missing in California 2 years ago.

The dogs either been found or died of old age. Not stopping Doris from Astley Bridge doing her bit though.

Ha ha - this proper pisses me off! :)

I've been getting a load of 'Bring Marco Home' from a South African woman I know about a missing dog in SA

When she shared a picture of a candle that was being lit to help find him...............immediate removal as a friend

Article in the BN recently about a bloke in H Town who read about 2 dogs missing on Helvellyn, headed up there and caught a glimpse of the from one of the ridges, ended up digging them out of the snow.

I don't often post on Facebook but an airport drink is a must shot if I can be arsed. People who post their tea should be shot unless it was served on the naked bosy of Natalie Portman and cooked by a Michelin star chef.

Mrs on it. Exchanges photos etc with daughters much more easily than individual messaging. Also keeps in contact with people she probably wouldn't on an individual basis.

Not for me though.

It's when folk share post and photos of David from Cardiff who has been missing since Thursday.

I'll have a quick look out of my window in a cul de sac in Macclesfield to see if he's wandering by.

Or when they share a post from Manchester, New Hampshire.

Removed it off my phone, most of the posts and newsfeed was just inane drivel.

Using it less and less. A bit like Wanderersways TBH.

I blocked mymum for this.

Girl not come home from school in Orlando.  I'll keep an eye out at the bus stop then :rolleyes2:

Just unfollow them.

It's folk reporting crimes that do my head in.

Saw this car hit such a car in this car park, please share.

Go to the fucking police you knobhead.

The latest in a local (to me) notice group is the folk who report that a van just drove down their street looking at houses. Be on the lookout. (It's probably one of the hundreds of deliveries made and he's looking for numbers)

Another one lately is the kid walking past someone's house with a hoodie on and the hood up. (This while there was 4 or 5 inches of snow on the ground!)

Harwood? Make me piss them idiots on there.

Funny as hell. The local supermarket wanting to stop folk using up their car park spaces by parking up and catching their free bus into town has become a much-debated subject recently. They are giving folk three hours but folk argue that it will stop them enjoying the shopping experience. THREE FUCKING HOURS!!

#boycottmorrisons, people were apoplectic when the cameras went up!

They've been up about three weeks now and still not connected.

Saw an interesting current affairs programme down here today about alarming links between Facebook, Google and the Clinton Foundation.

General gist was that FB and G are controlling what goes out, often at the behest of the Clinton Foundation, and limiting anything right of centre whilst applying 'positive discrimination' to things left of centre.

Whatever your political persuasion, if this is all confirmed to be true, anyone with democratic principles must be concerned by this. I have long held the view that 'social engineering' has been around for a long time - from the days when religions held the population in check using 'fear of God' and 'eternal damnation' as threatening weapons to the more recent application of political correctness as a means of quietening dissident voices and suppressing contrary opinions.

This takes it to a whole new level when the reach of social media is considered.

Why would two right of centre politicians want to sensor their own politics.

Clinton (Hilary) ran against a centre left politician in Sanders for the Democrat nomination.

Your definition of what is right, left or centre are not the accepted standard.

If you don't understand the US definitions of same just say so.
