  • Funny how many people deactivate due to attention seeking and then post on a forum saying how they have done so......basically attention seeking.   I find it decent for staying in contact with folk

  • Saw an interesting current affairs programme down here today about alarming links between Facebook, Google and the Clinton Foundation.   General gist was that FB and G are controlling what goes out,

  • They believed this bollocks...

Came off 7 years ago then I went back, came off again beginning of this week and cannot say I miss it. I give it 5 years before it’s in serious decline.

oh, and deactivate your account

all youve done is remove easy access to it, you can still be messaged and your timeline spammed full of shite

Never been on it thankfully

Well that's something where our views are the same.

Deactivated. I just use the messenger when needs be.

Never been on it. Dogshit

Signed up to it. Never used it. Deactivated it. Just wish I could remove the app from the phone.

Took myself off Facebook a few months ago, too many drama queens and attention seekers on there. I might go back on in a year or two, but I'm going to be very selective who I have on my friends list if I decide to go back on.

And you came here instead?

It's even worse! :)

Deactivated account and it feels strangely good.

Had it for a few months in 08. Got my self in to bother with poontang and have not had it since. Birds seemed more interested in you if they couldn’t read up about you online. It looks rubbish to be fair

Got rid of it a few years ago, had a brief spell back on it doing my internet radio show then deleted again.

Dont miss it, Im just addicted to twitter and Instagram instead

One thing that did happen was a week after deactivating it I got a phone call from a friend to catch up because he couldn’t see what I was upto.

If used right it’s a good platform I’d say, just not for me

I think folk who stay on and continue posting more likely to be attention seeking myself. In fact it’s becoming a haven for dysfunctional, depressed, attention seeking tossers in my opinion.

Wanderers ways or Facebook?

I like FB in batches. Its a bit of fun for me. I would say that there are probably only half a dozen or so folk ive got proper time for on the thing.

When I do go my Facebook goodbye won't involve an attention seeking explanation. It will just be a big picture of my tea, with a pint of beer on a beach.

Probably

Really don’t see that harm in it

Block anyone that annoys you, or unfollow them

Either way, it’s upto you to manage the content that comes up on your feed

Don’t see a need to de activate it, just don’t go on it
