They'd be better off just saying we reckon TR is a racist cunt and we it report on him.

I'd have more respect for them (whether or not agree with them), rather than inventing stories.

All kicking off in Parliament about a ‘violent racist thug and fraudster’ being invited for lunch in the House of Lords.

Their words not mine, I hasten to add.

There were somewhere between 1500 and 2000, At 9am, approximately 1000 had gathered outside the court, The Sun and Mirror both ran stories at 11am saying dozens. BBC said 400. They both vastly revised the totals once they realised that the event was being covered live by RT and an American journalist had live tweeted a conversation in the court by two members of the Press Association, as follows

As the two reporters discussed the size of the crowd outside, they openly agreed to downplay it.

One of the reporters had been told by a member of the law enforcement team that there were at that point 1,500 people outside.

After some banter, the PA reporters agreed they would say “hundreds.” The reason was to not “give it credit,” the female said.

These quotes are direct and were transcribed either while they were being uttered or seconds later. They also didn’t come to be secondhand—I heard them myself.

A Press Association spokesperson said they are “inaccurate” and “misheard.”

The American journalist states that courtroom’s official recording device had been turned on, so he is working to get a copy of the audio. Be interesting to hear what was actually said if the audio does come out

Absolutely - their job is to accurately report events - so if that's true then they want sacking. Well - maybe not sacking but disciplining.

Big if though at this point.

Fair enough - just as long as we're using the same critical rigour with everything that gets posted on here. Much of which seems to come from right wing twitter feeds and is somehow taken as gospel.

The Sun are reporting 1500 turned up in this article - which seems about right?

Could it not have just been that the 'dozens' story was written earlier in the day when there were less people there?

Incidentally - have you ever actually seen me and Cheese in the same room

:)

I have. You sprinkled it on a pre-steak  Caesar salad.

Unsurprisingly totally wide of the mark imo.

It's beyond tedious and people are seeing right through this MSM brainwashing mantra.

It's the same with his name; why do they (the MSM) feel the need to constantly tell us that Yaxley-Lennon is his real name?

When Cliff Richard was in court recently, I never once heard them mention Harry Webb was his real name.

That bit you’ve quoted seems pretty much spot on if you ask me

One is a singer with a stage name. The other is a plumber with about 4 names. Course they should point that out

It’s like they’re letting everyone in on a breaking news by printing his real name. Hardly a secret is it

Why did he feel the need to change it?

It's as though Stephen Yaxley-Lennon doesn't suit the character he wishes to portray, or is less marketable, less man on the street

Or maybe he doesn't want his family name associated with what he does?

I could Google it but prefer to speculate, as no doubt the real reason is dull
