If we was to make the final, maybe even the semi finals I’m very tempted to fly over. Never been to an England away let alone a World Cup game but I really, really fancy this.

 

Who WOULD be making the trip and how easy will it be to pick up tickets?

Fair play to those like Athy White who weren't put off by the prospect of us being shit or getting a kicking off the Russians and have been there from the start.

It's been noticeable that the number of fans from European teams have been lower than might have been expected.

 

Now I know that they have laid on a great tournament, and there's reasons why the hoolies haven't spoiled things, but to my mind the image portrayed by the Russian state and it's fans will have played a part in these lower numbers.

 

Hopefully more will make their way over for the last few games.

Conscience and temptation has been twinged a bit about going, but it's completely (probably life ruiningly) impractical for me. But I am consoling myself with the fact that all my England watching life and particularly from drinking age onwards has been with family and/or mates either at home or in the pub. After all we've been through, if we got to a World Cup Semi or Final it would feel fitting to experience it that way again. Those who go watching England all over through thick and thin deserve their place on the plane and a ticket.
