I have read most of the negative comments on here regarding Oz and people questioning whether he can make the step up. Who do you think you are Barcelona? Along with Bradley Dack he was the best player in Div 1 for the last two seasons, so his ability is without question and lets face it at the moment Bolton are a Div 1 standard team at best. No, the problem is not Qz’s undoubted ability it is more to do with the utter dross he is surrounded by that aren’t on his wavelength. Without him you don't have a playmaker, Williams, Vela et al are all of limited ability, willing runners that cannot do this job. Who is going to trap the ball, look up and do something a bit different? The only way you will get the best out of him is to give him a run of 5 or 6 games and not this ridiculous constant tinkerman strategy that PP is using. Oztumer thrives on confidence and he will not perform to his ability if he thinks that if he has a bad game he will be dropped. Can you imagine the pressure this brings? The lad simply won’t do the things he is capable of and just play it safe. PP is panicing as his job is under threat and he is trying different personnel  every week. This strategy is clearly not working. He now needs to put some faith in Oz and give him a run without playing with the pressure of the axe over his head. Nothing to lose now.

I agree. He should be playing because we are devoid of any creativity.

If we could get Ireland fit it might give him someone to link up with.

Agree with this, it is ludicrous man management to ask him to be the front pressing player picking up scraps from flick ons. He will never have been asked to play this role at any point in his career, why now. He is running his bollocks off without seeing the ball, same happened to Vela. For Alf read Doidge, he will get the last 20 mins at the most. What is the point of signing these players if they are not played to their strengths. We have had a succession of managers who lack the ability and imagination to play different types of football. It's so bloody frustrating!!!!

He should be the fulcrum of our play. We saw him boss the game against us when Walsall has 10 men, yet Parky doesn't pick him because he sometimes feels the game will pass him by because of his size. That's down to you and you're style of play, Parky!

Parkinson just doesn't have the technical nous to know how to accommodate him, unfortunately.

Oztumer's head is a good foot closer to the ground than your average centre half's is.

However, his feet are on the same level as these big defenders.

So, here's an idea : stop firing the ball over him and play it into his feet.

I must have missed him get promotion to the Championship with Walsall given he must have been surrounded with a lot better standard of player than he is now

Oz is another player that PP has brought in and then never plays - then wonders why we can't create !!

Luxury player we can ill afford at the moment.

There's hardly a raft of negative comments re Oz on here so I'm unsure why the OP has got so worked up enough to register on here and post.

Most folk seem to think Oz is the creative type we need but Parky can't get the best out of him. No guarantees that he is good enough for the championship though

I'd be looking to try and sell ozzy in January, parky won't get a tune out of him and don't know why we signed him in the first place. If Ken is signing the players then the situation is even more ridiculous than it looks.
