Apart from the heart rate do they do much more than the free apps you can get on your phone?

Aye

Free Strava will do for me

I got a Google watch free when I bought my pixel

It's useful to know what my heart rate gets up to when exercising but other than that, for all of does, that's all I use it for

And I pretty much know what it's going to tell me as it's always roughly the same

All I really ever want to know is how far I ran and how long it took me

They’re more for the top end trainers, some have golf settings on them (fuck knows how they work) I had the fenix 5, its was a cracking watch but I ended up changing it for a basic one for triathlons.

Top end trainers?

I know I bloke who has done numerous Ironmans, New York Marathon, Boston Marathon and hundrends of others with a 10 year old Garmin.

Its a grift. Yes, you should have the kit you need, but 'top end trainers?' Marketing bollocks, and i shoukd know

I didn’t say all top end trainers buy them. I said it’s aimed at them.

Proper, proper. Dead proper.

You’d have to read up on the numerous reviews and athletics magazines who describe this watch (and the majority of the fenix series) for serious athletes and question their reviews whilst letting them know they’re wrong because “you should know”

You could have an arguement in an empty room.

I'm just saying even 'serious' athletes, could do what they so without a Finex.

If you need more than a 365 Garmin - its not your watch thats the problem.

😂😂 I have just repeated what numerous athletes and garmin have said about all the fenix range and you are questioning it. Because you know best.

Of course Serious athletes could do without one, no one is saying they have to have one. I guess many do

Why what time is it?

Haha

Does this watch tell the time? Surely that's too simple for £300

So what separates that range from just normal fit bits and shit?

Genuine question like.

Presume it tracks everything but what more can it do than the normal ones?

Think it might be all the stats it can tell you

That said mine tells me how long I've been asleep but it's never accurate

Plus a status thing. A Rolex will tell you the time just as well as any old watch but folk buy them

No good for you, your wife can sync it to her phone and see exactly where you are all day.

I love this bullshit you like to peddle (amongst the rest) that I'm somehow a fantasist.

Not that I've got owt to prove to a local landlord and night owl but nothing I ever post is made up - because, why the hell would I? None of what I post is in anyway impressive. Its just parts of my life, in my job I do come in contact with loads of different people, some of whom are known in popular culture, and luckily I work with a lot of people, across the world from loads of different backgrounds. That's it. No agenda.

I wasn't having a pop at your watch hence the 'you could have an argument in an empty room' comment. I just mentioned that someone I know have done loads of ironmans etc with a pretty basic Garmin. That's all.

Are you that bored on your nightshift that being an incorrigible bore is amusing to you?

It's more about the app - you can join local running groups, join the local run loop for the 5k etc and track it all. Plus all the V2o things (although I'm not sure how food they are) then GPS when you are on long runs that can link to your Google.

It's like taking a phone out with you but more desiged for activity.

It’s not my watch to have a pop at 🤦🏻 all I’ve done is post a watch which is on sale for anybody who might fancy one. Nothing more.

Youve popped up, because apparently you should know, that this watch isn’t for top athletes. Even though Garmin, one of the top manufacturers in the game and numerous top athletes have all praised it and have said that’s who it’s aimed at.

Maybe Garmin and said athletes who do the reviews on these watches need to pop on WW in future to see what the resident Walter Mitter has to say about their products before going to press.

You really love putting words in people's mouths.

Also, I'm sorry you think I make stuff up, I really am; because that would mean you think I could be bothered to to that on a small football forum. Which probably shines a light on how much you view this place over me.

That aside, have a lovely evening. I'll leave you now to post some laughing emoji's on my post and then try and have a similar nonsensical point scoring post debate with someone else.
