My breakdown today

2,255 cals and no more.

Based on a tremendously physical job and push session this evening.

Genuine question for those cutting down on the booze, especially after a Christmas and New Year binge please. I have found my sleep and mood is all over the shop. I actually think I might have over done it this time and it's actually worrying me a bit.

You know what, it has been one of the best Christmas and New year's for a long time, no drama, no deaths and good catchup with old friends. Which is why I have probably drank more than in any time before in my life.

January is now here and I feel like absolute dog shit.

Routine is key

Aldi have loads of new protein products in for those struggling to reach their protein targets.

It does take a bit of practice but after a few goes I find I can get it all in on the first spurt. Stings your eyes if you miss

I agree with that. Problem I am finding is my routine no longer means going to work but opening my laptop.

I will get there for sure, just putting it out there for input that Is much appreciated

Try creating a routine for working at home, go for a walk before work and after to act as a commute to get yourself in the work frame. I really struggled with it during Covid as lost all the boundaries between work life and home life. If you have a separate office try and make sure that the door is shut when not working, or make sure that computer is properly switched off and no mobile when on non-working hours.

Best thing for me on first night off the booze is dead hot bath, followed by cold shower then straight to bed

That's my plan for tonight, first night off the booze since 20th December

I'm usually a nightmare for this. Not so bad this time round:

Foam earplugs

Blackout eye mask

2x ZMA capsules

1x Ashwaghanda capsule

Probably the first week of decent sleep in about 10 years! 🤣

5k in 27:30 today

fastest I can remember

is there an easy way on Strava (not premium) to find out a run that was faster?

doing a session every day at the minute

the key for me is plenty stretching

it's essentially an essential workout of it's own these days

You should get 3 months free with strava.

60km bike ride in the bag this morning.

Like a dick wore the wrong gloves thought I had frostbite in my little fingers.

Strava says 2200 calories burned. Fuck knows how they work it out but I’m taking its word for it and eating and boozing for (almost) free tonight.

yeah, I had premium for ages, then stopped, as I don't really need it

I only use it to see how fast i was compared to my last run

i've got years of data in there I think, just can't be arsed trawling it

though I just have

my fastest 5k since May 2021
