Site Supporter Winchester White Posted January 8, 2024 Site Supporter Posted January 8, 2024 Genuine question for those cutting down on the booze, especially after a Christmas and New Year binge please. I have found my sleep and mood is all over the shop. I actually think I might have over done it this time and it's actually worrying me a bit. Quote

Which is why I have probably drank more than in any time before in my life. January is now here and I feel like absolute dog shit. Quote

Problem I am finding is my routine no longer means going to work but opening my laptop. I will get there for sure, just putting it out there for input that Is much appreciated Quote

I really struggled with it during Covid as lost all the boundaries between work life and home life. If you have a separate office try and make sure that the door is shut when not working, or make sure that computer is properly switched off and no mobile when on non-working hours. Quote

Best thing for me on first night off the booze is dead hot bath, followed by cold shower then straight to bed That's my plan for tonight, first night off the booze since 20th December Quote

Not so bad this time round: Foam earplugs Blackout eye mask 2x ZMA capsules 1x Ashwaghanda capsule Probably the first week of decent sleep in about 10 years! 🤣 Quote

mickbrown Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 60km bike ride in the bag this morning. Like a dick wore the wrong gloves thought I had frostbite in my little fingers. Strava says 2200 calories burned. Fuck knows how they work it out but I’m taking its word for it and eating and boozing for (almost) free tonight. Quote
