I can't even walk a mile without stretching my outer legs. Insane burning on my outer knees during any longer walks was crippling me. Simple leg stretches that properly worke the outer thighs before hand solved it. The Internet is great... sometimes anyway.

Has anyone had a VO2 test?

Fire brigade used to run on them.

Try this next time you’re in a gym;

Set treadmill to 6.2kph and level.

Walk for 2 minutes then raise to 3° incline

Ditto then raise to 6°

Ditto to 9°

Ditto o 12 °

Ditto to 15°

15° is to expected fitness level for recruits and maintaining up to 12° is the expectation for serving firefighters.

Those days went while I was still there.  They realised a snooker table took up the equivalent space of a lecture room so out went the snooker tables,  in came televisions and interactive white boards.

None in 30 years. The number of cat skeletons you see all over Bolton though. Should be forced to risk their life for a cat which will come down when it's hungry enough.

Reccy will be one night soon. Probably a Tues night, possibly 16th,  so I can incorporate it into club fell run. I'll keep you posted.

@Smiley Due to last night's game I have moved it to Thurs 26th. If you fancy coming for a trot round then you'd be more than welcome.

Been back on it these last couple of weeks. Mainly this week. Back fasting 4-5 days. Cut out meat totally for 2 weeks now. Using MyFitness Pal (free version, so it’s a chore logging all the meals, but been worth it). It’s set my daily intake at 1750 cals.

I knew last Saturday would be the killer when I went to the Cheltenham game, 8 pints later and I was around 1700 calories over! Clearly shows how fucked drinking is when you are aiming for calorie deficit. Off the beer now until 12 Feb.

Pre-Xmas (end of Nov) - 12st 9lbs
1st Jan - 13st 6lbs
20 Jan - 12st 11lbs

Aiming for 12st 3lbs in 3 weeks (pre-holiday).

Want to be under 11st 10lbs for Manchester Marathon in April but got 2 big holidays coming up.

Great stuff. Pissed me off that with my fitness. Was always free to use the barcode feature.

I went on a bodimax scanner other day. Fuck me it reads everything.

Deffo recommend if anyone wants to get stuck in your proper metabolism and viscal fat rates etc.

Have some Renpho scales at home - think @royal white put me onto them. They do measure all your fat levels, water, protein, skeletal muscle, etc. Not sure how accurate, but best you can hope for without getting it measured professionally.

Get that Psoas muscle stetched lads.

The key to life.

Stay hard.

Did some research on that after you first posted about it

When my back went years ago the physio diagnosed torn muscles in my back. Next physio diagnosed a slipped disc. Had a bad pain also from the inside of my groin down to my knee that I thought I’d done when I slipped on some ice. Strange thing was, whenever my back went, the pain always felt like it was in my pelvis rather than my back and I had to walk round the house clinging on to the tops of doors, door frames, worktops, etc to take the weight off my pelvis rather than my back

Self-diagnosed now that I’ve got a problem with the psoas muscle. Been doing some yoga-type stretches that I downloaded to stretch the muscle. Blimey. Big difference. You’re right
