They always talk about warming up and cooling down properly, don’t over-train, watch the miles & rest is absolutely crucial. Got to wear the right footwear too. If you want anything more specific then PM me & I’ll ask them. Quote

Zico Posted January 2, 2024 Posted January 2, 2024 Here we go again Last night was my 12th night drinking in a row so well ready for a break No ambition for a dry January this year but happy to see where a few days off takes me Will ease back into exercise next few days and start a proper regime next Monday Not weighed myself for a while but no doubt it will be around the customary new year 200lb My aim is to get down to 182lbs having got below 190 last year Quote
kent_white Posted January 2, 2024 Posted January 2, 2024 I've not had a drink since November now. I wasn't a big drinker by any means - but it's had a profound affect on my mental health (in a good way). I'm not saying I'll never drink again but I'm not missing it ATM. And I've lost half a stone without trying..... Basically alcohol is now haram. Alluaha Akbar! 😁 Quote
Big E Posted January 2, 2024 Posted January 2, 2024 i start the slog tomorrow. i really want a sub 5 hour marathon and that is only happening when the chippy tits get smaller. Been a bad year for the diabetes so i need to get that back in line. currently typing with a bad back so who knows how long it will take to get back in working order. Quote
only1swanny Posted January 2, 2024 Posted January 2, 2024 5 mile walk today to clear some cobwebs, too "fat" to run. People over a certain size really shouldn't run, body just won't hack it long term. Quote

Could you not just type with your fingers instead? You’re bound to have a bad back if you’re slapping it against a keyboard all day Quote
