I seems absolutely what someone would write. Christ I see that sort of thing all over twitter.

Why wouldn't someone write that, especially when they are going to ask said publication to publish their words?

So what exactly are they going to do by this not standing by, other than spouting off in the BN?

and now we've got mcginlay on about how we treat other businesses

arf

I can remember Anne Taylor (& Frank White ) being supporters of the club from way back that should'nt be an issue .However I dont believe that the BN dont have a agenda here.

Even Iles match report which lamented the lowest post war 3rd round fa cup attendance (although factually correct) spun the disatisfaction angle too much imo as we have had lower fa cup & league cup attendances than saturdays altough  not third round ones

I guess you either place value in that article, or don't

I don't see any value whatsoever in this apparent proactive letter which supports the BN and is crticial of KA

it brings nothing new to the table

unless it's the start of a movement by the baronesses to instigate change, it looks more like a attempt by the BN to say the people of bolton back us in our campaign against KA

utterly pointless

aye

how many pubs has he now done a runner from with the takings?

not to mention the £2K he still owes a poster on here

All this we are not going to stand by and let this happen crap, throwing tennis balls on the pitch to tell Ken we don't like him will do fuck all, I think he knows he's not popular he just needs to look at the idiots on twitter. I think people actually turning up for the West brom game and supporting the team would look better to a prospective buyer IMO. Also parky actually setting up and trying to win the game on a more regular basis would also help, the second half on Saturday was probably the best entertainment I've seen all season more of the same would be great.

Wasnt she classed as our "celebrity fan" in the seventies/eighties??

Hang on a minute. You've changed the argument.

Initially your point was "no way did they write this". You're now saying there is "no point to it".

That is a bit different. They wanted to convey their opinion. They've done so via the BN. I agree it is a bit pointless but raising the issues is all anyone can do currently. And hope.

Ann Taylor is a extremely passionate wanderers fan and her knowledge of the club and past games is excellent, ive also bumped into her at the England v Argentina game in Japan 2002 and she made a b-line for me when she saw my shirt.  Frank White loves the Wanderers, very passionate about them.   So my thoughts are theyre entitled to their opinion.

Have Vernon Kay or Amir Khan weighed in yet?

Nobody is interested in Amir or what he has to say, because he drives badly.....

I've not changed the arguement, I answered your next question "Why wouldn't someone write that, especially when they are going to ask said publication to publish their words?"

I don't think they wrote it, because I think it's pointless, and think it looks more like an attempt by the BN to show they have the people's backing

to be clear, the whole article reads to me like a heavily influenced BN led article, and not an email/letter or whatever sent off the baronesses own back (i.e. I doubt they made the first move), of which their is little substance or point that brings absolutely nothing new to the whole debacle

argue away but there's nowt you can see that will sway me away from thinking that

Everyone’s entitled to their opinion. Christ there’s pages on here, the papers website, social media, everywhere

no one is disputing that. They obviously feel giving their opinion & printing it in the local rag will help. I don’t feel it will

what is it going to achieve? Absolutely nothing. What are they going to do except comment? Absolutely Nothing.

Waste of paper, web page space and discussion on here.

Do you think that they may be in a position to genuinely make a positive impact on the situation?

I'm not looking to gripe at all, as anyone is entitled to an opinion. It's just that nothing changes.

Could they possibly be in a position to get genuine high worth folk together for example, maybe to look at a takeover.

Just chucking it out there, as the only way to get Ken away is to have a group or individual genuinely interested in buying him out.

Heard the BN will be printing an article about Ken selling up his home and moving to New Zealand to get away from all the haters. :D

These 2 have put zilch in over the years, they were on freebies all the way, and only when we were in the EPL.  Probably back to being Man Utd fans now.

I think Mr Grey was relating to Amir and Vernon with this comment.

Amir - possibly back at Utd.

Vernon - always been a Bolton fan as far as I'm aware. And was seen at games outside the EPL on many an occasion prior to the EPL success. Don't remember there being any link to him being a Utd fan. But I could stand to be corrected.

I agree opinions no more valid than any other Wanderers fan but for me more valid than just some non-fan 'famous' person the BN could drag up (that will be next once they've decided which way round the Forest Green Chairman's name goes)

Anyway as been said Ann Taylor is a fan definitely. Think her place in comfy seats might be a thing of the past now tho.

Ann Taylor would regularly sponsor a BWFC player back when we were at BP and has supported us for as long as I can remember. No bandwaggon jumping here or indeed 'going back to watching Man Utd'.

By speaking out the baronesses may not achieve anything tangible right now, but I don't think it's fair to criticise them just because they haven't got all the answers. None of us have. I think it's really unfair and wrong-headed to be having a go at them tbh. Just my four penneth.

I think it’s less about their opinions and the BN using them as a tool in their agenda which is the gripe

I stood next to vernon Kay away at Oxford 99ish. Recognised him from that UK play channel.

...and some fly on the wall modelling thing

The bit about 'esteemed journalist' certainly over egged it for me. Really? Sounded more like an attempt to butter up the Bolton News rather than a fake letter to me. Esteemed my arse

All this talk of demonstration surely the best demonstration we could show the football world is our show of support for bolton wanderers, there is a good offer on for the wba game so there's no excuse for not getting down on the night. I've got 4 season tickets I'll get 4 tickets for the game 2 adults 2 kids anyway who can use them let me know and you can have them. Let's all turn up and show any prospective owner what this clubs all about. Everyone has a part to play Iles and the Ben should be getting behind the club, that's bolton wanderers not Ken Anderson. Let's get behind the team from the first minute to the last anything after that is up to you. The players to be fair to them have consistently given 100% in most games so I would expect a good atmosphere would bring out the same. Parky needs to set up to win the game, 2 up top like the second half against Walsall, the players do have ability play to their strengths and let's have a go. If he doesn't agree then feel free to fuck off because a lot of the bad feelings and apathy is down to his style of play, if we get beat then so be it but let's have a go. Ken also needs to get real be realistic with the price for the club I don't begrudge him a earner but let's not be stupid. Plus the ticketing for the remaining games could and should be brought down to realistic levels, nobody his coming and I know he's done deals before which have been snubbed but I'm sure if the team started playing more on the front foot then maybe more would come. Anyway for me this is back to the walls stuff atm and if these idiots on twitter really do care about the club then here's your chance to prove it. We will only move forward by getting behind the club I'm sick of the apathy we need a bit of bulldog spirit which Nat tapped into the 80's with lifeline, his speech on the pitch at half time against Charlton (I think) will always live long with me. Ken will eventually be gone throwing tennis balls at him won't make a bit of difference hopefully bolton wanderers will be.

Vernon seems to be into American football now according to his social media

It was Charlton.

I remember they were few in number but we're trying to chant over him and make it difficult for him to speak.

He slapped them down beautifully, without swearing, and got even more reaction from us all.

Could do with him now.
