Ghana White Posted February 28, 2019 Posted February 28, 2019 Can't wait to start supporting a football team again. Feels like being doing business studies at night school last couple of years with Bolton.. No idea what's going on
onlyoneawalker Posted February 28, 2019 Posted February 28, 2019 (edited) Non- story everything on track to get deal done - all of the previous non payment of wages have ended in what two parts of fuck all like this one will. its not ideal but it was bound to happen and if anything it tells me the deal is nearly done Edited February 28, 2019 by onlyoneawalker
Tombwfc Posted February 28, 2019 Posted February 28, 2019 If it's all just a non-story and everything is on track, why make it a story by not commenting or telling staff why they've not been paid, and when they might be?

Slight difference this time not one statement from BWFC, Anderson, Aldridge or club spokesman.
Boby Brno Posted February 28, 2019 Posted February 28, 2019 Spoke to 3 people at the club today. No one has a clue what’s going on. No communication whatsoever. They, still, maybe paid today they may not. It’s not pleasant and it’s not right. Whatever is going on behind the scenes, at least have the decency to tell the staff what is going on.

Perhaps they can’t under NDA?
freds dad Posted February 28, 2019 Posted February 28, 2019 If the takeover wasn't as close as we are told it is what would Ken have said about staff not getting paid?

How can Ken promise that? Won’t be his responsibility if it goes through. And he cannot say when people will get paid. Nor potentially can he say ‘it’s ok cavalry is coming’ under an NDA...
Casino Posted February 28, 2019 Posted February 28, 2019 i think folk need to realise we are a business about to go bust it happens and when companies go bust, people lose jobs at the moment, i dont think anybody has lost their job so hold tight and hope for the best and maybe we wont go bust and maybe youll all have jobs for a few more years i know it sounds heartless, but its the truth
Casino Posted February 28, 2019 Posted February 28, 2019 ps losing your job is shit happened a couple of times to me and after a bit you get over it and crack on

Hopefully it won't come to that; should the worst happen, I trust the wider Wanderers family will do all they can to help

That’s a concern unless they are literally looking to close the deal tonight and neither party felt they had the right to say anything. New owners wanted to make announcement tomorrow and make wages payments. thats best case - worst case there’s been a wobble and ken doesn’t want to set alarm bells ringing until it’s truly dead and he’s on to plan b

If Iles is right this hasn’t been submitted yet as due diligence is still taking place. That’s a big IF. Still I’d be surprised if deal was that close, I suspect end of next week realistically.

Hiding behind "that's business" is just utter bollocks we don't live in the 20s, or30s for fu*ks sake your opinion on what should happen is very different to what actually happens... anyway, it all irrelevant. tomorrow is a massive game changer for BWFC

darrener Posted February 28, 2019 Posted February 28, 2019 If it was end of next week I think the clubs employees should really have been informed that the wages would be a week late. According to Iles the wages would be delayed which would hopefully mean the deal is probably imminent.
onlyoneawalker Posted February 28, 2019 Posted February 28, 2019 If they leave the staff players or whom ever dangling for a week they’re a set of cunts
maje Posted February 28, 2019 Posted February 28, 2019 I know someone who works on the turnstiles and they haven’t been paid and no indication as to when they will.

Not much doubt the money came out in 2017. The question is where it ended up. A bigger question is how much came out in 2018? But everything pales into insignificance when set against whether a transfer of ownership is going through or not.

Mrs Manc worked for Citilink. Worked right up until late on Xmas Eve and on Xmas Day suddenly found out they'd gone bust. Owed thousands in salary, expenses, pension, etc and got fuck all back Feel massively sorry for staff at BWFC but at the moment there's still hope. A deal is on the table so let's wait and see. The Twittermongs/local press/etc need to hold fire for the moment but won't as there's shit that can be stirred up aplenty Edited February 28, 2019 by MancWanderer
