So if it takes that long to sort out a buyer and we don't have anything in place by August then what happens with the team management and players for the forthcoming season?

Really hope we don't start with PP and his donkeys

PP is the least of our worries, it will be hard getting a full team out if this drags on and we lose our best youngsters.

So from May 13th

Might be shit but it's also not unexpected

If they are lucky, new owners will be able to keep them all on and maybe even pay some of their lost pay

Its definitely not for the administrator to be paying any more than they have to

From what I understand, this means that the staff can be paid by the government. I think the government pays the staff from the point that they're not paid until the point that the business goes into admin. I might be wrong though.

If true, it's good news for the staff. But it's still mental that the taxpayer will pay for Ken Anderson's inability to manage his own affairs.

I would've thought they were creditors of the business and would need to join the queue

Again, might be wrong

Because then he wouldn’t have his free labour. Classless turd

It would've been cheaper to reduce headcount 3 years ago

Just don't know why he didnt

Think they will be entitled to statutory redundancy pay

I think he’s not as smart as people think. In fact I’d hazard a guess he’s a bit of a wally

Correct.

They will not get a bean in reality for the wages they have accrued and not been paid sadly. So they should have withdrawn labour and or found other employment but that’s easier said than done and also I guess a lot of them are supporters of the club and didn’t want to walk out

very sad story and I hope all of them find new better employment soon if that’s the path they choose.

Non playing wages are small beer at the end of the day, making them redundant would have saved two bits of fuck all

The main issue was he signed dozens of shit players, many of which barely saw the light of day

He couldn't make them redundant anyway as he had a football game for them to arrange; selling tickets, programmes, Golden Gamble tickets, operate turnstiles, wear orange coats, serve drinks, etc. If they'd been made redundant it would be directly KA's fault if the game couldn't go ahead because of the lack of staff. As it happens, the game got called off anyway by the league following the playing staff strike.

To me it makes sense to keep catering and other add-ons in house providing it's managed well and even more sense if the empty seats are filled, especially with kids who are the fan base of the future when we're all dead.

Always been an advocate of "kids for a quid" and schools & community liaison etc because they all want food. drink and maybe the occasional shirt or replica Wanderers v AC Milan coffee mug. Tying in with education and apprenticeship programmes would be a winner. Only downside is that bigger crowds may incur additional policing costs but all that can be negotiated if the management have a brain. And if you can show that it's a proper family club policing bills can be negotiated down.

Changing the fan profile and keeping profits in house has been a massive success in other sports and in other countries e.g American Football where you have a captive audience who need feeding for 3 hours or more. Community family friendly club with free/cheap tickets for target markets is the way forward to sustainability I reckon - providing there's some top notch retail management in place. There's so much more that can be done eg a half time show of local talent who would be delighted for the opportunity to perform and bring their families/friends/fans along - just needs a bit of creativity to boost profits.

Macron is supposed to be a community facility. Why not make it one?

They stopped things like kids parties 5yrs ago as a cost cutting excercise, look how well that worked, and then the fan zone went although in fairness it was only a half arsed operation at times, and that worked well, so they haven’t really given two hoots about the fan base for years.

Why dont they do kids for a fiver and then stick a unit outside the main turnstiles selling replica shirts, t shirts et etc at decent prices and try and create a new “club” like City have dint with their citizens scheme. It’s not rocket science ffs.
