I’ve never met Bolty but having read many of his posts over the years I’d be very surprised if he meant anything malicious in it. Surely it’s a typo/predictive text. I really wouldn’t put anyone in that camp on here who’d post something as shitty as that and mean it - not even 3am on a Sunday morning after a mauling.

Whilst not condoning the comment in isolation we've got to remember that this forum often has crass comments made about someone else's suffering. Not many of us can hold our hands up and say we've never made or laughed at a comment about a certain plane crash and many other incidents where folk died.

I've written and deleted this three times now.  Sick humour used to be par for the course.

I hope so, its easily done... especially after a few scoops.

Agree to an extent, just about all crass comments though are people who nobody knows etc. Assuming the Bantams lad is a genuine Bantams fan, he could easily have had friends or family in that disaster. I doubt anyone would be that insensitive?

Doesnt make piss taking over other disasters any less crass though. Not sure whether I’ve been guilty of this on here or not but I have certainly posted in celeb dead pool

I was only thinking that the other day. We've all - well the older ones anyway - shouted/chanted stuff that we would never dream about saying these days. Christ, once upon a time, Alf Garnett was top of the audience ratings. I don't want to come over all pink but what was once the norm becomes unacceptable in some quarters. And quite rightly so in many cases.

There are people on this site who lived in Bradford at the time. 

But let’s see what Bolty says before hanging him. 

Like others have said I think Parky has done the best he can, but it's time for a change.

Is it worth speculating further? without trying to be incendiary or insensitive, all's we're doing is figuratively fanning the flames. Whether Bradford lad has taken hiatus I don't know, but he's not bitten (genuine or not). I suggest sleeping dogs lie- once or twice antipodean acquaintance responds, we're all in a better place to judge.

Well we've both got history with him - at opposite ends of the spectrum - but I'm certainly not going to fall out with you about it. The Brexit thread is a far better place and topic

Fairly sure some (or maybe just one) Bratfud fan came on here when Parky first got here to warn us that he tries to soak up pressure all game and beat teams on the break then sit back and defend a 1-0 lead. They didn't like his style when he left. Are they just forgetful?
