O'Neill was outstanding. A leader.

Players looked hungry today.

Yeah, you don't get much at them food banks

I knew shouting ‘you’re shit’ every time I ran past their training ground this week would work. Proper put the fear into them.

I thought we occasionally played some tidy football in the second half. Although as per usual we did our best to bugger it up.

Connolly and Williams were superb in protecting the back four. Amazing how much less of a bomb scare we looked in defence because of how many attacks were being cut off by those two in midfield.

Hobbs came up with some vital pieces of defending on the occasions they did break through. Would love another look at the second half clearance where he seemed to virtually dribble it off the line!

Magennis struggled a little bit to make the ball stick but can’t fault the yards he covered. Ameobi was his usual hit and miss but came in to it more at 2-0 and did a great job tracking back. Even Buckley did his bit in parts without being dazzling.

Great to see the team - and fans - all pull together as one in general though and hopefully we can build on it on Tuesday.

Looked way less than that.

O'Neill was excellent.

The two Everton kids - proper committed. Proper pros the pair of em.

Nah, they came at us hard with nothing to lose

They should've scored before they did, but we had already missed the chances to kill it off

Anyway, another big ask on Tuesday, but if we can do it, I believe Wigan would then be right in our sights

All dressed like extras from peaky blinders

A win on Tuesday will certainly improve ticket sales for next Saturday. Even daughter fancies the short train ride. (Assuming the trains are running)

Said at half time that if we got a win today then we’ll win on Tuesday. Win that one and there’s absolutely no reason we can’t win at Wigan and all of a sudden we’re right in the mix.

It's the hope that kills, but at least we can see the light now.

Yep, I think about 2/300 musta got tickets but knocked it on the head or stayed in M/C for the day out...

Top drawer from O’Neil from start to finish with that one.

Respect for O'Neill today, 100% from start to finish...

Wigan are at Blackburn on Tuesday. If there's one team incapable of doing us favours it's Barstard Rovers.

Buckley couldn't be arsed defending.

and he wore gloves all game; the tart!

Yep, just him & the goalies with gloves, fucking girl.

Taylor showed serious emotion at the end

Aye, I noticed that too. It's a shame he's getting on a bit, I think he likes being here. Always gives his best.

Well that’s a nice feeling. Forgot what that was like.

Well done lads today.

Thought first half was pub Sunday league fodder but they were truly awful and think we realised it for the second half.

Someone has mentioned Taylor and I know he's no world beater but he's giving you a 7/10 most games he plays and he does seem to actually give a fuck which is why I like him.

Main thing I wanted to say though was that I understand why people think PP is limited tactically etc but for me it has never felt like he has lost the players/dressing room and it showed today.

We sit on the outside and have our opinions but the players are working with that management team day in and day out and not getting paid and still going at it, I'm not trying to say he is some sort of Guardiola but PP must actually be doing a decent job of "managing" them to even get em on the pitch.
