If dad doesn't want to go, I'm out

Tried to find the team from my 1st away game in 1980/81, notts county. If anyone can link the teams I'd be happy, I couldn't find it. Think Whatmore scored, lost 2-1

Boro lost six in a row or something like that

I'm in

Brilliant. Got most of the team, had Seamus in the nets and had Hoggan instead of Carter. Not bad from a guess at 6 years old kid watching

Meal with the folks before, so feel compelled to go - but they have lost 6 on the bounce, so we rock up and win for boro

0-2

This on the red button?

Asking for a shit fan.

No doubt, but without an 80mile round trip

I mean he will.

Does he pick you up en route? :)

I can’t even be arsed watching on red button

That midweek Charlton 0-0 when we were both going into League 1 was the most dead game I've ever witnessed at home, surely this couldn't beat it...

Players cba not sure I cba.

0-4

Quite a beige atmosphere.

I was at that game but I have to ask.... Who the fuck was Phil Wilson? He's been completely eradicated from my memory, probably by booze.

Huddersfield comes into play - he either went there or we got him from them

He was quite small. That's all i can remember about him.

broke into the team in the relegation season 1980. Was about 2 foot 6. Looked brilliant when he first made the team, but like a lot of the kids we threw in that season he went off the boil a bit and we ended up selling him to Huddersfield a year or two later.

No idea how he got on there as - obviously - football doesn't exist outside Bolton.

Or possibly in Bolton if the worst happens!

I think we beat arsenal 3 1with Jennings in goal

Pretty sure Phil Wilson scored
