Last night I went to the Friday night rock do in the pub only to find it was "folk weekend" - not that I mind folk but this was proper finger in the ear medieval hey nonny no chanting of the worst sort. My mate and I were about to leave when two of the aforementioned Bolton 6  walked in and when they saw me at the bar practically ran across the pub yelling KHSWA, gave me several (manly) hugs and we stayed until 1 o'clock talking Wanderers and getting hammered until I crawled back home to get dog's abuse from the missus. Great night - although I never did find out what happened to the maiden who was forsaken by her true love. Died of grief presumably.

Great story. Is this small rural town in the North West?

Was out with the dogs earlier. Lovely morning.

Unfortunately, most Septembers I get a touch of the 'blues' (see mental health thread). Can feel it coming and learn to accept/handle it. It will pass to an extent and then spring will lift the mood.

For the first time in yonks, I thought about the wanderers whilst walking and got the inner tingle of desire, the lure of the game if you will.

Not sure where it came from, but was chuffed to bits it did. Remarkable how quickly the feel good factor comes back.

Great post, I identify with every word.  I think its the realisation that thinking about BWFC is now a positive, its uplifting.  For as long as I can remember, if I'm feeling a bit down, thoughts of BWFC made me even more miserable.  Not just the threat of liquidation of recent times, but the awful management of Parky before that.  Now it feels joyous to be a part of this club again.  And as you say, the lure of the game, knowing it could be a great occasion, and if its not, well there's always next week.  And if we lose 3-0, really its not that terrible, what's the worst that can happen this season? We are a football club again, and we are in good hands, and that's a wonderful feeling.

I second that, although you may have a hard time persuading custard face that we are in good hands.

You dont need to, he's an irrelevance.

Read esteemeds piece on what happens next for the kids

First half was pretty good for him

Most notable was his comment about the owners reaction to our reaction to going 5 down at gillingham

So far I've found two Bolton fans where I live and one of them is me. Ironically the other guy when I met him was wearing the home 1989 white Normid strip, which I have in the red away colours.
