Best/Strongest line up?

Not seen it asked yet, but what's everyone's thoughts on how we'll set up and what the line up will be?

Obviously not spoilt for choice, but still curious

it's difficult to give a strongest lineup when most fans havent even seen some of our signings play.

seems like hill likes 433 . The defence sort of picks itself with earl being injured. Bridcutt is pretty mich nailed on to start in midfield.

Other than that we will have to wait and see.

Never stopped us before.

So, let's have Joe Riley at Right Back and Mustapha Riga on the wing ahead of him...

Best line up? Not a clue - but i think we’ll need to be patient for a while.

I think it'll be Murphy as a lone striker with the young Stoke winger on one side and maybe Crawford on the other side supporting Murphy. Bridcutt definitely in the defensive midfield role, but not sure who plays next to him? The defence picks itself.

I think Buckley is nailed on to start Rotherham.

Big lad up top

two fiesty wingers whipping balls

Two meat heads in middle who charge forward at every opportunity and unleash 25yrd daisy cutters

Two scrap yard dogs sitting in middle smashing anythin that gets near defence.

Joe Bunney. New CB. That Bloke From Forrest. SIR HARRY BROCKBANK OF BOLTON

Remi Matthews or Ben Alnwick

No thanks needed

When playing with 16 and 17 year olds, I reckon we should be allowed an extra man!

Alnwick

Brockbank, Hobbs, Wright, Bunney

Lowe, Bridcutt, Crawford

Verlinden, politic

Murphy

Not basing this on much though, not seen many play

                 Matthews

Emmanuel Hobbs Wright Bunney

                 Lowe Bridcutt

Verlinden.       Buckley.          Crawford

                        Murphy

Is what I think they will go with.

Yep, I agree with that lineup too.

Serious question...

where is Ben Alnwick? Remi needs resting, he must be shell-shocked by now. He's made several errors and his decision making seems suspect.

I dunno about resting, but I'd love somebody to tell me why matthews is the number one

Obvs, he is if alnwick is unavailable...junior mentioned he had read he was will. Club line was hamstrung, I think?

As for matthews, he's getting a decent break and when you've had to make as many decisions as he has, you're going to get some wrong

Just in normal circs, I'd go with alnwick

Never had a problem with him and less prone to an absolute rick

Correct, I’m not for one minute blaming him for all the goals he’s conceded but like you say he’s made a few gaffs

20 goals in 4 games won’t do anyone’s confidence any good

Party line is that he is 'unwell' which has led to the usual rumours about his mental health and such. Either way I hope he comes back soon cos Matthews is absolute shit

Tad harsh that pal

irs been like the Alamo late on in most games..

Just wondering if we will sign anyone this week.

Still 3 places to fill .

Plus they may have a behind closed doors match before 5pm on Wednesday.

Agreed, which is harsh on Politic & Brockbank but i expect them ( & the other kids ) to get chances as the season goes on.

Matthews or Alnwick........I think they're about the same as shotstoppers but Matthews is willing to come off his line & help the defence out while Alnwick is glued to his line & it won't help if he thinks he's Napoleon. Matthews for me.

I'd fucking love that.

I really can't see it but the way the lads play together is mint to see. I don't want to go back to 11 disinterested strangers hoofing it about the pitch like we've had the last few years.

I'd say brockbank and politic are there. Others need to be used sparingly.

What I don't want to see is keef pick 11 of the seniors to start and hope it works.

Only been to two games this season but at Gillingham I though Brockbank was all over the place and nowhere near ready; Cant remember much about the other game mind

To be fair to the lad, i don't think he was alone in being all over the place.

As much as I owe those young lads, I don't care if we turn out a team of pensioners for the rest of the season

Alexander might be the best keeper in the world in a few years but atm he's a fair way behind Matthews and alnwick

Like I say, they're a good set of lads, living their dreams, but there's a reason we are losing 5 0 every week
