Rudy Posted October 9, 2020 Author Posted October 9, 2020 So if pubs shut the government will pay 2/3 of wages? So the pubs aren’t shutting then Quote

Guest Posted October 9, 2020 Posted October 9, 2020 I see Arran’s pubs are being closed down. I’m reading that Arran hasn’t had a case for 4 months. She’s a mentalist. Quote

She’s a mentalist. When I was up there earlier, we were talking to a local businesses woman. We mentioned the fact that Gretna and so local postcodes were under more restrictions. She explained that as soon as England reopened pubs, many of the locals piled down from the border areas into England for a pint. Subsequently some cases appeared and spread. Perhaps she's worried about Glasweigans piling into neighbours areas- these oat munchers love their drink. Quote

MickyD Posted October 9, 2020 Posted October 9, 2020 I may be wrong but I heard (from the guy who works for the fire service who was seconded to build them) that the Nightingale ward in Manchester has had its fixtures and fittings returned to storage within the NHS. Quote

Most of the Nightingales have been repurposed for training, scans, outpatients, etc as the ordinary hospitals are a nightmare in terms of distancing folk who are visiting for tests, outpatient appointments, etc. A consultant that I know well in Brum used to see 3 patients per hour in his outpatient clinic. That’s now down to 1 per hour due to having to clean after each patient and not have a group of folk sat in the waiting room So yes, some of the fixtures and fittings have been put in storage, for use if needed, and the rest of them used to configure the layout differently Quote
Judge Fudge Posted October 9, 2020 Posted October 9, 2020 Visors! At our place we’re all required to wear visors as a minimum. The majority are wearing face masks. There’s 3 members of staff who have got doctors notes saying that they are exempt from even wearing a visor. I suppose the fact that the said 3 are the ones most likely to always push the boundaries doesn’t mean much. The vast majority are questioning the fact that wearing a visor has any negative impact in terms of health issues. The 3 in question are saying that it causes breathing difficulties. Am I wrong for saying that they are taking the piss? Quote

If you’re struggling that much, you shouldn’t leave your oxygen tent. Cunts. Sack the fuckers, there’s loads of people looking for work who will be glad of the job. Quote

Simple mechanics of breathing means that the bit with the highest resistance to the flow of air would be the part making breathing most difficult. The space around the mask can’t possibly be the point of highest resistance. Quote

Hold a bag of Doritos and ask if they can smell them. If they can how does a visor help to protect either wearer or anyone else. Quote
