Im sure you think its just me and few loons on here that are opposed to it.

There is no data, at all, to suggest it works and irrefutable data to suggest its going to bankrupt businesses. Its a restriction too far for many covid safe establishments.

Its the opposite of commonsense. It makes none whatsover.

It worked in Belgium. Its been introduced all over. Until studies and measurements have been completed the 'irrefutable evidence' isn't there. As is wasn't with much of the things countries have done. All done with the input of the scientists.

Merits will only come out much later.

Does anyone for one moment think a government anywhere would seek to deliberately make trading for any legitimate business difficult? Simply doesnt stand up to scrutiny.

One thing is for sure, when tougher lockdowns happen many more businesses will find themselves struggling a lot more.

Didn’t someone post a link that Kier Starmer won’t be opposing Boris’s 10pm curfew in the vote next week?

Starmer isn’t thick. He’s well aware that the curfew option is being used across Europe and elsewhere to try and curb the rise in infections. It may work it may not. He doesn’t have an alternative and is, probably, thankful that he ain’t in charge of this crisis.

Never a truer word.

Having given it some thought, and read some posts on here, there is this argument:

How can we know the curfew isn’t working until we’ve given it a fair chance?

Science is a slow, methodical analytical method of producing results.

Saying after a week “it’s not working” isn’t really fair.

We live in a time of massive impatience. To be expected I suppose.

Aye. Some a bit better than others

It’s a constantly changing picture. I’ve previously praised the Czechs for their handling of the problem and they now Have one of the worst Infection rates in Europe. Belgium, Holland, Spain and France have been well reported and now even Germany is concerned.
From day one of this pandemic I’ve stated that politics should be kept out of this.

If he’s not opposing it, then it implies that he isn’t against it. Not sure how that means he’s playing politics on the subject

To those favouring further controls, how long do we wait for a vaccine before you change your mind?

I mean, if they say tomorrow, vaccine in 2030, do you change your mind?

Ffs, there might be covid20 in a few weeks

How many have died in Belarus?

Hardly any at all, a few more than North Korea. Apparently they've had a massive increase in "pneumonia" deaths by some coincidence. The president has had it though, and he survived without any symptoms. "Vodka, saunas, a game of ice hockey, and driving a tractor" are the best cures  said the president, the winner of 6 elections in a row.

North Korea hasn't even had 1 single case, acording to their glorious leader. The population has been provided with psychological first aid and awareness activities to keep them healthy and soldiers on the Chinese border have been instructed to shoot on sight anyone attempting to get in or out.

If there's no vaccine by at the latest , spring 2021,   ill run on the pitch at the first home game next season dressed as a giant syringe, with my cock out.

Is it wrong to be slightly hoping we don’t get a vaccine until early summer?!

So on that basis you have to make decisions that you think will be best.

The logic of the curfew is people get pissed and later on they are more pissed. The more pissed you are the more rules go out the window and social distancing is fucked.
The reality is that people still go out and then go the Off Licence and you have not got rid of the problem. In Spain a 10 o’clock curfew is different as they go out so much later so a 10pm is basically no night time stuff is open.

The curfew does not seem to make sense but that does not mean there is not a need for other strongly enforced restrictions.
