That was one of the loveliest things to ever happen. Stood in my garden sobbing like a baby! Proud to work for the NHS 👏👏👏👏❤️

More folk would probably starve to death then die of Corona virus if that’s the case

Look, China, South Korea look to have come out the other side of this. Nobody is starving to death there

We're basically hoping we all get immune to it by catching it.

Do you think that's a decent idea? We seem to be alone in the world with that idea.

Read something about Boris and him being Churchillian.

Churchill - "We will fight them on the beaches etc, etc

Boris - 'The Germans will probably get bored of bombing us soon"

Likewise fella, life is too short for bickering 👍🍺

Get a fucking room!!! 😂

Bricks and mortar retail is fucked, it was anyway but this will tip it over the edge for many high street names

Clearly supermarkets and local convenience stores will need to remain open to feed everyone. Oddly they will benefit from increased home consumption as people don’t go out to restaurants or on holiday

The impact to the economy will be seismic and the effects will be felt long after this crisis

In terms of public transport, the numbers travelling on them have fallen off a cliff, I’d expect to see Sunday hours rolled out in the short term, further down the line as staff get sick and isolate who knows how they will decide which services to run and which to can

Just a Cold though

I think there is only Bolty that's ever suggested that Johnson  is remotely "Churchillian"

Roast bat anyone?

One of our largest competitors here in the UK has announced after today, they're all working from home (with the exception of the warehouse staff obviously)

We've been told we don't have to go out and visit customers if we don't want to, they're leaving it to us to decide. Most of my planned meetings next week have already been cancelled (by customers, not me) - I'm just left with one visit next week, and I'll be WFH for the other 4.5 days..................sadly, it looks like Mrs Sweep will also be here as well, as here company have bought her a laptop today, so she can work from home

Heywood league

his Saturday team ( north Bury) is on for now

it’s all up to the discretion of the leagues, pure bollocks as clubs will just sort friendly games

Daughters club itself has made this decision to suspend all training and matches, league ok to play I think

lads play in CPL , Bbdfl and Lancs Sunday which are all still on up to now, but can see tomorrow/ Sunday being last tbh as more things change

If I end up working from home full time it won't be the virus that gets me, I'll just be found in a wanking coma by day 4.

It's mad to see football doing what the government should have

What, ignoring the best medical and scientific opinion?

They are cancelling games based on that opinion and advice. Not because of crowds but because players have it and need to isolate....

You've got it back to front.

No players from forest green and Northampton have it so why is their game off? We’ve seen numerous games played in Europe with no fans. They are cancelling games on both reasons

How many deaths of old folk is the tipping point of when can we officially say the Government got it wrong or right?

It’s irrelevant

if this turns out to Have been the perfect stance taken the usual suspects on here shall be frothing at the mouth and wetting their soiled undergarments about it

its a lose lose as far as they are concerned.

there is no right or wrong answer to this because there is no way of proving what would have happened had an alternative chance been taken simple as that really

I do my grandmas weekly shopping for the heavy items she can’t carry, she asked us to get her toilet roll because they didn’t have any in Aldi, Asda or Tesco. 80 year old woman can’t get a roll of toilet roll, insanity.

Why is ours better than everybody else’s?

Not really as they’re all at different stages and we don’t know how many people were infected at the time the various actions were taken in the various countries surely?

im just giving my very uneducated view on this by the way. Fanny5 will be along to bore you all with his view shortly no doubt

Why is everyone else’s better than ours? We always boast about how good our medical professionals are Yet now they’re doing what they’re paid to do people with no experience are doubting them.
