@MickyD thanks for the heads up on the steak. Just been bought two full fillets shade over 60quid for 4 kilos of fillet steak. Unbelievable deal that

I'd say nearer to Lidl than McDonalds.

It's the fresh cooked bread and the salad that makes a kebab from there.

Kurdistan further down towards town, same side used to be good too.

My mate rates an Afghan place further up than Istanbul on the other side as the best of the lot, but not been myself.

Yeah, it's on the end of the next block lower down than Lidl.

Aye, our Maud came home with a stack of it yesterday. I just thought it was our local store selling surplus.

Just had a look what Motcombs are up to. You can  order a takeaway cod dinner for just £24.

Went out early for a mooch today and saw that Quality Fish Bar has a sign up saying they are reopening tomorrow, they'll be queueing up to Bob Smithy.

Only been once but it was really good

That fillet is still on offer. Bought a full 2kg joint today

They’ll argue that they’re in Manchester (by about 100 yards). Some big gaffs in the immediate area around there but I’d suggest it is a very different market to Sale. 

Plus, this is something that's irritating me about lockdown. The food outlets that are open seem to be taking the piss on pricing.

Pennington Plaice now reopened and on Uber Eats so that’ll do for me. Quite happy to pay £3.50 delivery to avoid trying to queue responsibly on a narrow street with fucktards. 9 days of calorie limits beforehand, mind.

not even a kabab in sight

Their cheese and jalapeño pasty is better than Carr’s

Knocked on to see how he was doing , since this started have been having a  side  door catch up once a week.

Distancing of course. 1 bottle each and a chat.

Today got handed 2 home made chicken currys.

Now demolished on the South Facing Terrace , next to the water feature . ( Sculpture of Campo rising like a Salmon at Ewood ).

Back to the curry, excellent texture and a varid array of spices n flavour.

On a strength table around a Jalfrezi and Madras .

Highly recomended.

Combined it with Aldi basmatti rice and popaddoms. Washed down with a pint of Overkill from Camerons.

 

On a side note , just checked my emails.

Bill for £3.66 , to be paid in 31 days.
