Thank God Bolton has that “Definitely Maybe” bar (old Bergeracs). 

I nearly made an early exit after the lifeless experience on Bradshawgate.

Definitely Maybe is very good and seems to be the place to head to if you end up in town.

Also Good to reminisce (for those in their Late 40s) about the old Bergeracs days - the one place where you could get served underage in the late 80s/early 90s with sticky floors and porn on the TVs  😂

Good isn't it? I'm going next week with a few of the girls. Live music, decent ale and only a small percentage of weirdos.

It’s completely out on a limb at the moment in terms of good places to go in town and like you say the clientele seems unusually ok for Bolton 😂

Really is sad what the night life in Bolton has become that whole Bradshawgate strip should be pubs clubs and bars. 
Town used to be rammed Thursday-Sunday

Used to love it between the ages of 16-21. Rammered off £20. That included club entry, food and taxi home. Now you're right it's sad.

Wife was going shopping yesterday so I told her to get some normal beers that would do for three of us over xmas and in case anyone pops round, suggested a mix of cider/lager/spirits. 

She came home with 20 x 285ml bottles of Stella.

20 small bottles.

Yes, used to be Vasrsity, now Hogarths - it’s not bad in there, loads of TVs so good for live sport

That's the place. Used to be OK in there as a break from the Old Three. Used to be loads of good places in town. I thought it had a bit of an upswing of late with Northern Monkey and places like that.
