Basic human decency I would say. If your fortunate enough to be in a position to help others less fortunate you do so. Maybe i am over simplifying it. But as a nation we are in a position to help so we should

They’ve all used a bank linked to one of the gas companies (maybe same shareholders or similar) that will accept euro payments which won’t then breach eu sanctions/regulations and then they convert to roubles and then forward payment to the gas provider I believe. 
 

so they get their roubles, Germans and whoever else does this to circumvent the sanctions get their gas and nobody is technically doing anything wrong other than morally. the rules are shoddy to allow such a simple workaround. Suspect krautways usuals will be aghast at such a thing being allowed by their government

I would back the Poles as they really were our allies.

Seems to me that the whole world apart from a small minority are against and are supporting the war against Ukraine. It may be an inconvenience for you but sometimes the human race rise up and fight against an obvious aggressor.

Wouldn’t class China as Western. India are slowly coming round to joining the majority. Both Boris and Ursula have been over there in the last week. With hopefully,  positive outcomes for both the U.K. and the EU. Not sure Putin has ever been.
