Its appeasement, that's all it is, and more people will end up dying in the longer term if you essentially capitulate to agressors. These aren't peace deals in the slightest.

  • We’ve reached a point where folk are so entrenched in their support for trump that they’ll side with Putin if it means not losing face on the socials. Thats where we are now. its ok

  • That Vance is a bigger cunt than Trump

No doubt the Russians will ramp their bombing campaign up after Moskva was sank.

There’s something very encouraging about these night surveillance tactics by the Ukrainians. I like the paranoia it will cause for the Russians. Very Vietcong.

These Neptune missiles are a development from an old Russian missile with modern technology used to upgrade them.

Russian equipment just doesn't seem in the main to keep pace with advances.

To be fair to the French, maybe they just sent them loads of Andouillettes. They thought they were out of date because they taste like shit.🤷‍♂️

These two Brits who’ve been captured by Russian forces. How big of a problem is that for the UK now?

Possibly more of a problem for the two UK Citizens, I would imagine the Russians might try to argue they are mercenaries and therefore not entitled to PoW rights but will give them  a "fair" show trial, possibly under Martial Law and we know that could mean... "Take Aim, Fire".

... or maybe they'll hold them in a military prison  and use them as long term as bargaining chips.

Eastern Ukraine getting pummelled now, the regrouped Russian offensive has started.

Thousands unable to flee due to lack of transport and shelling of those that are available on supposed humanitarian corridors.

They will keep them as bargaining chips as long as they are useful to their propaganda.

If you are going into someone else's war then kill or be killed because the alternative is horrific. Especially at the hands of Russia.

And that is the brutal reality of their predicament, I don't think the actions of two blokes, or possibly a few more, embroils the UK as State

Between the devil and the deep blue sea then. They could’ve fucked off with their families though.

I don't know the background of these guys but from what I've seen is they've signed up well before this started. They're fighting for their families future in their country. The right to stay in their country. I don't get why anyone would think they'd fuck off and leave.

They were serving Ukrainian army personnel. I'm not sure it would've gone down well if they'd have asked to leave.

Yeah I have read that now, I assumed they were members of their foreign legion but clearly not so.

Im at the stage I was at with covid in that nothing is surprising anymore and the news is just back ground noise. Im scrolling past Ukraine stuff on news apps to read other stuff.

Mad how something so horrific has just become another story. Barely even coming up in conversations with customers and stuff.

Certainly a danger of it becoming normalised, which is a massive shame.

Seems we're in for the long haul, with its shock waves having various effects and changing the face of society in the west.
