Its appeasement, that's all it is, and more people will end up dying in the longer term if you essentially capitulate to agressors. These aren't peace deals in the slightest.

  • We’ve reached a point where folk are so entrenched in their support for trump that they’ll side with Putin if it means not losing face on the socials. Thats where we are now. its ok

  • That Vance is a bigger cunt than Trump

Excellent news that.

Was watching a report about this, and there were comments about Russians legging it away from their positions with essentially no where to go.

I think it,s a fluid front line... villages and settlements are changing hands all the time... one side gets routed and then t'other comes in and has a go and so on until its the last one standing... war of attrition

I saw some footage the other day, it may have been on here, of a Russian soldier trying to surrender, and then he was blown away by a Russian Drone. Imagine that, thinking that you're about to hand over your weapon and walking calmly towards the "enemy" with hands in the air..........and then getting blown tio pieces by your own side

Shit happens in war. There are lots of accounts of "blue on blue" in most major campaigns, but sometimes they are never properly recorded and the troops keep it to themselves.

Bit like that back pass to the keeper that goes wrong.

I know that, and if he was deserting/surrendering, and leaving his comrades behind, then he got everything he deserved. Tough shit, that's war, I certainly don't have any sympathy for him

You'd like to think it was a result of mistaken identity in the fog of war but as I said yesterday, the Russians are a brutal lot

Nothing accidental about blowing up your own with a drone when the operator is using an fpv.

Typical Russian.

They're shooting their own, throwing them into the fray with improper equipment etc.

Poor food, and essentially no medical facilities.

A remotely serious injury sees them left on their own.

Yet they're still going for it, and will continue to do so for many more years yet

Kremlin tentacles are long and spindly. They are even reaching British kids (never mind Reform politicians). If you think Ukraine are only fighting for their own freedom, you are very very sadly mistaken.

Shock Horror

Russian mercenary group recruits a group of lads on Telegram to burn down a warehouse containing communication devices destined for Ukraine.

Then didn't pay them the promised amount!

Maybe it wouldn't have happened if we weren't getting so involved

Maybe World War 2 wouldn't have happened if we didn't get so involved, and instead just rolled over for Adolf.

Our bit of WW2 started in Eastern Europe (Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Germany.

WW1 kicked off in the Balkans

Maybe WW3 in Ukraine.

It's a cesspit over there and we never learn, the Holocaiust started in Latvia.

Incidentally the Wagner Group who paid these lads probably stood the best chance of ousting Putin... maybe we should have backed them rather than Paddington Bear

Maybe have a read up on what the Wagner Group do before spouting such absolute bollocks. There is zero chance of any group ousting Putin any time soon.

Please can you offer your reasoning regarding my mental health?

Thank you

Not to certain about the spouting bollocks bit as I don't have a twitter feed or whatever, I rely on my own judgement.

I recalled their march towards Moscow... maybe that was an opportunity missed?

It was doomed from the start and he ended up dead in a "plane crash" soon after.

Europe isn't anything like the 1st or 2nd world wars, I don't know why you keep bringing it up.

It's a civil war in the Donbas and our politicians are all looking for angles to raise their profiles on social media

But I like a little sport sometimes.

What I am disappointed about is a lack of debating ability from Cheese who just posts stuff from a twitter feed, Winchester tries but resorts to abuse when cornered... Spider does okay when he concentrates.

I get bored tbh. 💞

Absolutely.

Many Russian speakers in the region of course, and no doubt some with pro Russian beliefs.

However, under no reasonable assessment can it be declared a civil war.

  • 2 weeks later...

Isn't United 24 a Ukrainian government organisation?

Russia have denied it.

Make of that what you will.
