The power of social media I suppose.

Makings of a new game show this.

"Celebrity twat-off" or some such.

There are many swifties though, and will readily swing into action.

True - Swifties vs UFC fans in a huge brawl. Might be a new spectator sport! 😁

I'm sure Gonzo can acquire and share a video of this

Swifties have to pin the UFC fans down and force friendship bracelets on them

He's had it for a while. Unfortunately it was a different Harris - Rolf. Starts off with very low lighting, and a familiar voice asking "can you tell what it is yet?". When he gets his "wobble board" out is when it really kicks into action. "Tie me kangaroo down, sport" takes on an entirely different meaning in the second half, as his didgeridoo takes quite a battering. Next day was when he did that portrait of the Queen.

"Mr Harris" she said, "you seem very tired. Where you up all night?".

"Indeed I was your Majesty, ermm...preparing for this special honour".

"I suppose your were splashing your stuff all over the place?"

"Indeed Ma'am, indeed".

"Well I hope today you manage to capture the Royal We".

"Had enough of that last night you Highness - being pissed on by Princess Mictura of Luxembourg, the dirty bitch. Right, turn a bit to your left so I can make your tits look bigger....".

Company I used to work at had regular training seminars and one time a piling company came in to give a presentation. He was telling us he had a job at the home of Rolf Harris.

Anyway, on residential jobs they have to take great care with the equipment as they're typically very tight spaces.  They're wheeling in this piling rig slowly round a corner, this fella stood next to Rolf inevitably says "can you tell what it is yet?"

Biggest tumbleweed moment of his life. Not a flicker.

See Trump announced going to relax rules on self drive cars.

Tesla shares up 5%. Musk has been repaid.

Also the great hulking tariffs he's going to put on Chinese EVs, that'll help Tesla as well - no wonder Musk is cosying up to him......having said that, and tio add a small bit of balance, Trump does often publicly say that he dislikes EVs

Tesla shares up 29% since Trump was elected. Put a few hundred million into supporting the campaign, get a few billion in return.

All a bit meaningless unless he sells.

If it happened in any other country, that country would be rightly labelled a corrupt oligarchy.

Not really, that's not how it works. He can use the Tesla company "value" (and specifically his shareholding in it) to leverage other deals. He doesn't have to sell at all to realise a financial angle

Indeed, but he was offered an open door, so he'd be silly not to take advantage. I'm sure, somewhere, that Trump will also profit well from it

Perfectly explained. It's bonkers 😊, but that's how big business works I guess

The issue is when an elected President/Government is so blatantly and explicitly working with the billionaires to make them even richer, at the expense of the people who elected them. I don't think that's something to be celebrated as "fair enough" or "good business".

I was hoping that anecdote was going to finish with him being threatened with a digeredoo

The clear the swamp idea is clearly to let a new set of snakes in. Both sides seem to do this shit just in US it seems so blatant.

The majority of Americans seem to be happy enough about it, especially given that Musk was front and centre in the election campaign. It doesn't matter what we think over here really.

It's not a lot different to Farage professing to be against the establishment*....when he is indeed part of it

*to be fair, I'm not sure he's done that for a few years now

This reminds me of the time James O'Brien and the like held up the stock market predicting a hard Brexit as irrefutable proof of corruption and in reality it was just a consequence of their betting on what they thought was most likely to happen
