FA cup

Featured Replies

The FA have ruined what used to be the most important cup in the world. Other games playing on the same day FFS. Munich’s started the rot when they pulled out for a Micky Mouse domestic World Cup.

hope Leicester win it but it’s now only a little better than the League Cup.

most fans don’t give a shit about the Champions League but making the winner an automatic entry to the Champions League would boost the FA Cup plus move the semi finals away from Wembley

The 1873 FA Cup Final was an 11a.m. kick-off.

Much diminished day.  Didn't realise it was cup final day until 30 minutes ago. Grandstand use to be along the lines of: 11:15 Team hotels 12:00. It's a Cup Final Knockout and/or Questi

  • Good to see fans going mental

I hadn’t realised it was cup final weekend until earlier today. Used to be a brilliant day on Grandstand.

Anyway, Chelsea will win 2-0.

Could be a tremendous season for Chelsea hope they win both cups especially the CL

Completely agree.

I was just wondering what hotel the teams are staying at, will we follow the team coach to Wembley, why last night's 'Question of Sport' wasn't based on the two finalists. What side was 'Cup-Final It's a Knockout' on ?

I do hope Leicester win it because you can imagine it will mean something to the team, the club and the fans. Chelsea will just chuck it on the pile like an unwanted Christmas present.

Used to be the biggest match of the season... I remember going to the corner shop at half time and the world was totally quiet... no one out and about, all indoors watching the Cup Final.

Leicester for me

Ruined as stated above. Will give it a miss like most other games. Didn’t even know it was cup final day till someone messaged this morning.

And not a 3 o clock kick off either 😡

Needs to be last game of the season. Saturday 3pm.

Build up from the morning. Watch the coaches arriving, old fa cup moments, the road to Wembley etc

Cmon Leicester

11:15 Team hotels

12:00. It's a Cup Final Knockout and/or Question of Sport

13:00  Follow the team coaches to Wembley by helicopter

14:30 Community singing/Abide with me.

15:00. A game of football

17:15 Dr Who

Cracking day.

Tried to force a bit of interest by having a small bet on Leicester 3-1 or 3-2,  fuck Chelsea as one of the "super league ", but not that bothered.

Shame, as i'm another who used to love all the build up & game on cup final day.

Did you enjoy the game? 😁

Fuck em. Watching a re-run of our game last week and getting pissed again 😊

After what we’ve been through I don’t give two shiny shits about anyone else, totally meaningless to me.   Getting my season ticket this week is far more important, only my club matters to me.

There is an eleven hour piece on the BBC iPlayer/website running until the match called "The FA Cup Channel".

Superb to have some supporters in the stadium - another step towards normality - not really arsed who wins as long as it's a decent game....

Hoping for a Leicester win, with a career-ending injury for Jonny Evans

Unless my TV is faulty, there were fairly loud boos for the taking of the knee.

Amazed the thread had progressed so far before we reached the correct answer.
