Covid-19

Slow news day, or end of the world?

”Aggressive” new variant has landed in Moscow. Makes people, even those that have been vaccinated, more poorly than previous types.

Time for Uncle Joe to push the button? Short term pain.

But its now no worse than a cold for most folk mixing with hundreds of people a week..

Keep testing and fucking your plans up for what you would have normally cracked on with....

I get the dilemma for lots of folk.

But again, it's about the folk that do die.

Not sure why that's so difficult for people to get.

Test, if positive don't go to a.place with hundreds of people in close proximity for 3 hours.

It's not difficult.

Not testing really messes up my sector in particular. Another 6 dates on a tour cancelled today because performers to ill to go on and not enough swings to cover.

So it's OK to go to a supermarket for ten minutes if positive? What's this three hour rule?

I'd say you have more chance of infecting more people sat in close proximity for three hours in an poorly ventilated victorian building than driving to the 24 hour supermarket at 10pm for 5 mins and using self service, cocker.

I don't think it was meant that way- more that 3 hours was the length of his or a typical meeting.

As for situation as a whole, some basic common sense is needed. I chose not to go to the game becasue of it. I've also avoided going into places, or stood well away from folk if I had to go in, and only for the briefest minute.

Its where the whole thing is flawed though.

You can live with your whole family who are infected, shit, breath and sleep together and still not get it and vice versa you can be the only one in your family with it.

Its mind boggling.

Shanghai is a mess. 25million people having to be fed by the authorities.

Even the govt there are having a rethink about such strict lockdowns.

Is following through s symptom of having it? Asking for a friend, I, I mean him has done it twice in as many days, and he's breathing like The Elephant Man. I, him I mean has got some testing kits but cba doing one, looks a right faff.

Following through is a symptom of either excessive cheap alcohol, or continued and brutal buggery by a lover who refuses to be gentle.

It's also a side effect of shooting dope

My booze bill is anything but cheap. Normally, if in doubt I go to the throne, but climbing the stairs is like summiting K2 (the mountain not the nut ward) so I've twice let caution to the wind, it was only a tiny pipsqueek on both occasions - I've been eating Halls Extra Strong and Jakermans like Smarties, I'm oretty sure they're both rammed with Sorbitol - a laxative. I have it on good authority that the bumhole springs back quickly after a vigorous bumming.

Yeah, I've been ill this week and no one else, none of the kids (one was using my toothbrush by accident as well!!)

Same as my Mrs who had it two weeks ago and I was fine.

While i might not go and sit in a bar for 3 hours, theres nowt going to stop me sitting outside for a couple of hours, nor would i expect my mates not to show up

Id not know anyway, i expect, as im not testing

If im so ill i cant stand up, im not going out anyway

And if i feel ok, id get on with it

Each to their own, though

Yours is prob the public spirited option

There's a lad near us that used to very occasionally brings his his elderly mum. She's now in a care home.

If I felt OK, I'd have gone. But I didn't (still dont and still positive) and its a no brainer to stay away.

Being in a crowd in a ground isn't quite the same as being properly outside and well dispersed from others neither.

Moreover, now that I'm experiencing it, irrespective of its apparent lower lethality, its a fucker and as such is clearly a risk to the elderly or ill.
