Covid-19

Slow news day, or end of the world?

”Aggressive” new variant has landed in Moscow. Makes people, even those that have been vaccinated, more poorly than previous types.

Time for Uncle Joe to push the button? Short term pain.

Doesn't seem to bad to be fair. Headache is the worst.

Took my mum for her 4th jab tuesday

just at a Chemist on Ladybridge

Do they still publish the numbers of how many people are GETTING DEAD each day, or have we given up being bothered now?

Hospitalisations yes, so presumably dead too.

No official positives though, just estimates from the ons.

Not so. Whilst deaths due to Covid may have risen, deaths due to most other stuff have dropped. I don’t recall the last influenza death we had in.

Same. Mrs tested positive Monday, I did on Tuesday. The headache is horrific. Negative now but permanently knackered

On a separate note Mrs Manc has been talking to a client in Shanghai this week. They have been completely locked down for 3 weeks now. Not allowed out of their apartments for any reason whatsoever. At 6 pm every day the food shopping apps open up and it's first come first served and loads of folk miss out completely each day. She's been living on packet noodles most days. They are also tested every day. Their landlord calls them all out, floor by floor, and they have to file downstairs to be tested by a government bod. Now that's a proper lockdown

Positive Tuesday but negative now- that's pretty quick!

Lad was positive last Sunday but negative yesterday.

Don't think I've ever been as snotty!

Kinell, glad I've been vaccinated.

Leaves you a bit fucked to say the least.

I suspect that I did my test wrong on Monday and got a false negative

Yep. Same. Can’t remember who it was on here that got the first variant really early and was saying how hard the exhaustion hit them

Sweep the Gypsy?

He still managed to nick copper off railway projects.

His body is drenched in that smartwater stuff.

He also still managed to organise bare-knuckle fights between children and take bets off the other assembled gypsies.

He'd rig the fight by telling the stronger kid to take a dive.

He sells maltreated horses at Appleton or whatever.

He calls people who live in real houses 'worjas'.

T'other half has it now.

Like two old duffers puffing out of their arses walking up and down the garden. :)

Had my 4th jab today, dreading tomorrow because I was ill for a day after the other three

Just tested negative today after first testing positive a week last Thursday , avoided it for the two years but got it now things more relaxed .
Was rough as fuck from the Thursday to last Sunday, high temp, barking like a seal constantly and just drained . Felt great last Sunday, thought I was rid of it  but tests had me positive until today .
like you, glad I’d had the vaccine because God knows what it would have been like those first few days without it.
was a really weird feeling, freezing bones and hot skin is the only way I can describe it.

Not really had a fever as such, a bit warm for a while but not too bad. Skin felt creepy the morning intested positive, and that was weird.

Mother (85) had no reaction to the first three (Pfizer) but the 4th (Moderna) has swiped her.

In a way that is a good sign, it is her immune system response doing that. Hopefully she is not got a load of kick arse white blood cells now 👍

Well, second time round for me. More like a bad cold this time, but the fucking headaches can do one again.
