July 6, 20233 yr I work in theatre generally - sorry folks! Did have a contact who was head of marketing at the 02 - that was great but he left to become head of marketing for F1. The fool! 😁

I still expect to see Grohl show up on the drums Did I mention I was there? He was pushing an open door as everyone there was there to make most of it to spite the Elton hype. The fireworks started as Josh had crowd singing the No One Knows refrain and only went to further fuel the “fuck it, let’s rock” feeling that led to circle pit

Bet it was fckin ace being there Edited July 6, 20233 yr by Spider
July 8, 20233 yr Saw Kiss at the AO last night. I'm not a big fan but what a show. 10/10 from this judge 🤘
July 8, 20233 yr I went watching that comedian Paul Smith last night, not impressed to be honest, loads were leaving mid way through.

July 9, 20233 yr Off to see Blur this evening. Saw them years ago in Wolverhampton, but this time at Wembley it should be a step up in terms of spectacle.

Missed out on the 8 quid tickets they were flogging to try and fill some seats, would've been worth it just for Skindred.

Shocking offering at the bars in the standing section in the venue. Wish I was seeing them again this year, hopefully get a ticket for Glastonbury 24 and they turn up there, Jarvis is just fucking magic.

Wasn't that impressed with Sheffield Arena really, seemed a bit shabby. And ladies toilets were obviously not up to much either seen as there was a queue a mile long of them in the gents waiting for cubicles!

July 25, 20233 yr Mate of mine is singing at The Hulton Arms on Saturday. Bit of a backing track singer which, to me, is no better than being a greedy karaoke singer who just won’t hand the mic back. I think I’ll go just to show some support.
July 25, 20233 yr Thus Love are playing Yes Basement in Mcr on the 25th August - get yourself a ticket. Brilliant band. Missed out on tickets to their 100 club gig.
July 28, 20233 yr Mate was meant to be getting a bunch of us tickets for The Hives next year at Academy. But fucked up and missed out. I spent the whole day prior listening to virtually every song they’ve done on repeat on Spotify. Fuming! Messaged me this morning - do I wanna go watching The Prisoners at the Roundhouse next May. I slung on their greatest hits on Spotify, 3-4 songs in, I thought “Fuck it” and told him no. Hope he got his tickets this time. Band sounded ok to be fair, but can’t be arsed investing the time and travelling to London. Only bands I’d travel to London for are Jane’s Addiction and Buffalo Tom – and I’ve ticked both of those boxes before, so not even sure I’d go again. Edited July 28, 20233 yr by Smiley

Ah the Medway Scene 😄 Hang around in Canterbury enough and you'll no doubt hear a billy childish gig.
