Took my little lad to his first league game today. He's 6.

I might leave it a bit before he comes again. Christ it was hard work! 😁

mines 21 and still hard work !!!

anyway on another day we would have scored more than them.

bad day at the office

There are no options on the bench that can change the attacking threat.

Hopefully Baka and Ameachi will be back fit soon to give us those options.

Decent cover on the bench at the moment but no real ability to change things up.

Good idea having the pop up coors bar in the hotel must be a little earner that place on matchdays packed out

How much?

Our place went from 4.80 v MK to 5.50 today

Their manager in his post match interview said that he changed it early on and sat deep not bothering pressing out centre halves.

This is the same week Evatt has stated we struggle against that, and like teams to go toe to toe with us!

Well sorry Ian if that's the case we better never concede first, as that is the 3rd game out of 4 a team has deployed those tactics and we've struggled against them all and taken 1 point.

Do we have a Plan B or is Evatt too arrogant to bother??

If we told you then it would be even fucking busier. Still fairly busy now tbh; a cunning mix of football fans and people watching the dread fighting later. Mrs was in just after 12 and got one of the last tables. Spotted @radcliffe whitewhen I got in just after 1 but wanted a quick shower and change before getting in to the pitchers.

For those on kiosk watch, NSL east corner ran out of cheese pasties pre match and ran out of ale at half time.

As for the game, another one where we’ve played a side who are well organised and just do a good job of protecting a lead. You can visualise their coaching staff saying before the game to protect a 1-0 and try and grab a second from a set piece. Might have been a different game had it gone to 1-2 before half time but in reality we were taught a bit of a lesson, even though we were arguably the better team.

Delfouneso must be wondering where he fits in now as I think that was Isgrove’s worst game in a white shirt tbh. Weird to see Dapo go off the boil once their right back got booked when you’d think that would be the catalyst to push on a bit.

Thought we were a bit lacklustre today , felt like we could have played another 90 and still not scored .... Onwards.

Deary me, this takes us back to this time last year. You are in danger of becoming the next hughmungus

Service is quick but for a table you do need to be in early doors usually 12-12.30

Yeah true, just find it so frustrating, but you're probably right!!

We are a newly promoted team and doing very well.
Not been today as on holiday but there are going to be days when we come up against decent teams who do a job on us.
Brush ourselves down and move on.

Given your views on the manager and centre forward where did you think we would be at this stage of the season ?

No positives to be taken from that. Rotherham's work rate without the ball was superb.

Yeh i’d agree with that, they worked very hard when not in posession.

kachunga isn’t for us though

Is Katchunga any better the Jo Dodoo or Artur Gnahoua? Not for me he ain’t.

A bad day at the office, let’s learn from it & move on.

What about our chalked off “goal”? Was he definitely offside? I noticed the West stand didn’t complain much about it.

We did OK in spells but there was no constant pressure on them it was all bits here bits there. They did a job on us.Thought Johnston was m.o.m but all in all a little disappointing

TBF that proves you’re nothing like him.

You’re right that it’s really frustrating on so many points; we didn’t fulfil our potential today, we’ve underperformed in front of a big crowd and lost a home game when we were all full of hope.

No issue at all with feeling disappointed.

Decent effort

Need the different strikers back

Yep I was right in line with it defo offside

Created loads of openings in that first half. Shots not got away and poor final balls.

I feared the weakness in defensive side of midfield might rear its head, and at times sheehan in particular can be seen trotting back.

Didn't understand the subs though. At a time when they'd settled for what they'd got, we took of sheehan and sarc, the two creative lads, and subsequently struggled to create much.

Folk saying we were bullied- not convinced at all as we beat the press many times in that first half with nothing to show.

The usual frailties costing us at the other end.

Rotherham did their homework.

Top marks to their manager, I’d say he nailed Evatt tactically.

It happens. All part of the learning curve were on together.

We’re still in a good spot all things considered.

Fairy muff.

A letdown of a day, but fuck it - let’s put it behind us & move on.

Thought we played really well first half despite conceding two goals. Thought we were more than capable of getting back in the game.

Second half we struggled a bit and their constant time wasting and shithouse tactics made it harder for us.

Just one of those games.

Promoted, the talent is in the team to do well and I'm not castigating him completely btw, only pointing out other managers seem a bit more agile in their team formations, nothing more. But IE will make mistakes so commenting on them doesn't mean I want him thrown on the bonfire! He is clearly learning and learning well in the main.

Doyle however...🤣 I just don't get him or what he does and would love a proper alternative so we know one way or another. Unfortunately Kanchunga doesn't look like it will be him.
