Tea bags.

Remember a little while back when plastic in tea bags was in the news?

Out of curiosity, I went onto Yorkshire Tea's website and found a load of information about how they've got rid of oil based polymers and are now using plant based PLA, polylactic acid. Can now be degraded in industrial composting facilities, but not at home it explained.

Got me wondering, so found this:

All is not well in the world of tea bags. :(

Really are fucking ourselves over!

loose tea from now on.

Used to use solvent (methylene chloride iirc)! Not now. Similar to how you remove an e from coffee.

  • Ill offer it for £25. Probably got a broader selection and save yourself a train ticket to that there London.

As I said on here many moons ago; women, generally speaking, don't make a brew as well as blokes. A fact of life.

The tea never tastes the same back home. They brew it differently and our water isn't anything like theirs.

True. They know how to make a brew for sure. It's a lovely place Sri Lanka, would like to return one day but there are so many places we've yet to see in the world I am not sure we would ever go back, even with their fantastic tea.

Yeah, that's where I'm at.

Would go back tomorrow if offered, appetite was whetted today when a client asked for a quote.

When I worked in the chemical industry, a visiting young lady once told me to make coffee with deionized water as it was a revelation.

Never have done, dunno if it works, but certainly sounds plausible.

Conversely... I had a tea in Agra that I'm sure was laced with the arm pit of the guy serving it me.

Top tip... Don't agree to stops your driver suggests... Go to the decent places you researched on trip advisor!

And microwaved tea, apparently.

Milk in first when pouring from a teapot.

That's the act of a sociopath

I've seen folk putting milk into a brew whilst the bag is still in.

Hanging offence, that.

That was/is to stop the China cracking was/isn't it? Either way no issue if you are brewing in a pot. If you are making a mug of tea then milk has to be last once brewed and the water fresh off the boil.

An old work colleague, as a youngster, would get the brewing up job. One of the blokes continually put his cigs out in the empty mug and left them in.

Pissed me colleague off no end, so he made the cunt's next brew with the dimp left in!

Got some great tea from India, it was beautiful in what looked like a little cotton bag.
Never had anything close.

Yorkshire is the go to though

Have about 5 cups of tea a year, usually when I'm feeling ill (dunno why)... prefer coffee (Kenco Americano). Mrs used to drink Yorkshire but has been on Clipper for the last few years.

This is the most middle of the road post I've ever read on here! 🤣

Milk in tea you’re as well having a cup of warm Milk instead. Rank. Black tea only and weak. Water in stir it two times round and bag out. Half a sugar and job done.

Not sure why but ok. I'm glad my post about tea made you chuckle to yourself.

You claim to be a patriot. British to the core. An Anglophile.

Then you post this.

Get out, and don’t come back.

He probably lines the mug with Charlie, like a northern margarita.

I could get on board with that.

I suspect he’s fishing.

If he isn’t, I suspect he’s killed and will do so again.

A good breweruppa can make a good brew no matter what the teabag, but it has got to be PG, Typhoo or Yorkshire.  People who make a bad brew have no respect, not enough thought gone into it.
