Changing yer mind

Now, this forum is famous for being able to pick a side of an argument and stay with it no matter what.

But what have you changed your position on. For me, it was fox hunting, I was very pro fox hunting for a variety of reasons but have changed my stance because well, it's barbaric and some traditions should probably be best put to bed.

Spider famously altered his thoughts on Brexit.... anyone else not sticking to position for the sake of it?

Manchester City. Didn’t mind them years ago but now they can fuck off

  • I can’t for my fucking life think of any reason someone from Bolton would support a fox hunt. Baffling.

  • And Utd  Don't forget you used to be Utd  I won't

I eat anchovies out the jar bit of freshly chopped garlic and a thinly sliced crostini or similar. Divine. Washed down with a cold beer

You fucker. That’s got me interested. With some green olives on the side. That’s happening this week

It's usually dead when I go 'cause I don't pitch up at cunt 'o' clock...

No different from Farnworth or Astley Bridge imo it's just bigger - so accommodates more mouthbreathers.

Since Lidl opened over the (Manny) road and Aldi down near the old greyhound track I go in a lot less.

My shops take no more than ten minutes in and out - two or three times a week, I know exactly what I need so I don't shuffle around like one of the undead in a Zombie film - due to this swiftness I leave without an anthropology observation, perhaps I should make a day out of it like every other twat seems to do.

Anyway, you live in the Shangri-La that is Horwich.

Rumour has it the Bolton News is changing its name to 'What Crimes Did The Horwich Scumfucks Commit Yesterday?' as it'd be more apt.

I like in lostock in an ivory tower , with a can of Perla and a bag of scampi fries

Oh and pineapple on a pizza. Just fuck off

😊😊

I'd imagine apple being a better ingredient on pizza than pineapple. If we're going down that road

Either way both would be more edible than lobby 🤮

Pizza shop near us does a carbonara pizza that the missus loves and it has a fucking egg In the middle. A fucking egg on a pizza.

I'll let you off.

It is quite nice around there.

And rammed with posh bored MILF in Chelsea Tractors who yearn to be RUINED.

Mile or so further on, scumbag central.

Hated Pearl Jam.

Now I cant help but turn their songs up in the car. That's when I'm allowed anything other than capital/dua lipa/mabel on 🙄

I’ve come more open to pop music and guilty music pleasures

If it makes you feel good and you wanna dance and sing like no one is watching then go for it

Wanna know my daughters favourite song at the moment? Don't you want me by the human league. She LOVES it. Told her not to sing it to her mates at school 😂

B A N G A

Garlic. The smell used to make me heave, but now as I get older I've come to appreciate how it can enhance a dish.

Nature. It was 'just there'. Now I take time to look and enjoy the beauty of it all.

Stargazing. Started during the first lockdown and watching out for the space station. A world of wonder.

Used to dislike working.

Love it now I don’t have to.

Moon landings. Quiet happily went along with the narrative until I added the figures up later on. Now Im not as convinced as I was before.

The Loony Left. Never thought they were loony, just thought they were committed campaigners and activists. Now I actually do think they are loonys

That old fool 'Buzz' Aldred seems determined to take the truth about his galivanting around a Hollywood backlot to his grave...

The daft sod.

He should spill the beans, sell his story and live what left of life in luxury - however if there was any hint he was going to he'd have a 'heart attack'.

That is a certainty.

As in they didn't happen?

The one for me that gets me questioning it is the cross hairs on some of the photos are going behind the astronauts rather than being overlaid on them.

Fuck knows. Not overly arsed either way.

I would love to know, in the days of high resolution, very high-MegaPixel cameras, why nobody has spotted the discarded Lunar Rover or the US flag planted by Neil Armstrong.

This is something I have asked in the past. It's odd that we have photos (allegedly) of planets and galaxies millions of lightyears away. But I have yet to see a convincing photo of the lunar rover, or any other sort of lunar rubbish left up there. And I can see a detailed Moon from my front door. Bonkers innit!

Aye

I don't have guilty pleasures anymore

Just pleasures

Good man.

On the origins of pizza, Bill Bryson claims it was first conceived in the US not Italy.  Presumably Italian Americans though.

I am much more inclined to believe the Margherita of Savoy explanation. If the yanks had invented it the name for it would probably not have had 'zee's' in it or ended with a vowel. Tell him to fuck off back to Des Moines.

Yanks probably would’ve called it tomato cheese circle as well

It’s been done though god knows why, and doubtless you’ll dismiss the photo, but anyway:

Sorry, but overlaying a close-up of the moon with yellow lines pointing to where various astronauts stood is not proof of anything. Especially as Collins didn’t leave the command module yet there he is, stood between Armstrong and Aldrin.

No sign of Collins on this list of folk who stepped on the moon.

Johnny Vaughan. I used to think he was a dick after things my dad told me when working with him. Now love his drive time show.

Anchovies. Forgot about them fuckers. Utterly revolting

However, can’t now have a chilli, bolognese or Caesar salad without them

That's because they are there to add the salt, they don't taste of much else really.
