Changing yer mind

Now, this forum is famous for being able to pick a side of an argument and stay with it no matter what.

But what have you changed your position on. For me, it was fox hunting, I was very pro fox hunting for a variety of reasons but have changed my stance because well, it's barbaric and some traditions should probably be best put to bed.

Spider famously altered his thoughts on Brexit.... anyone else not sticking to position for the sake of it?

  • I can’t for my fucking life think of any reason someone from Bolton would support a fox hunt. Baffling.

  • And Utd  Don't forget you used to be Utd  I won't

I'll add Santos to.my list then.

Death penalty.

Not for me, now.

Nuclear weapons. Not fully changed, but now not so sure we need a deterrent any more.

Psychology - Thought it were bollocks until I was about 22.

Cecil - I wouldn't have it for free after seeing the trail of misery, shit and blood it leaves in both its journey and on arrival, plus I've already got a natural state of inflated ego and the ability to talk bollocks with supreme confidence on topics I know little about.

Plus it's a vasoconstrictor - it very much provoketh the desire but detracts from performance.

It also makes someone who can drink like a fish drink like a Blue Whale. And forty odd year old hearts and cocaethylene don't mix...

Being presentable all the time - since my late twenties it's horses for courses, I'll go out looking like a healthy smackhead sometimes. I'd also, but don't, wear supermarket own brand clothing than ostentatious showy branded label crap.

I saw some bloke about 50 in Sainsbury's in a Yamimoto or whatever Jumper and other ridiculous fashionwear, like a fucking walking billboard.

He was the 21st Century version of Harry Enfield's 'Considerably Richer' character.

His dolly-bird missus was about ten years younger and was his clobber in human form (look at me, I'm his trophy), I don't mind dolly-birds, but I pretend to be a goat-herder when a wooing them.

Anyhow, he looked a total tit.

That could've been me if I hadn't met some real posh people - who genuinely don't give a fuck on this front.

Eating meat. Was a complete carnivore before thought it wasn’t my problem that animals are killed, now I can’t even imagine eating meat or harming any animal

Vermin.

Retiring. But then I change my mind on that every week.

The French. I wouldn't mind a week there now.

Onions. It's the texture I don't like, not the taste. So long as I can't see big bits.

I'm sticking to my guns on DMBs, ferret face Neville and Brexit though.

If animals weren’t used for food, they won’t live happily ever after. In fact, they won’t live. Nobody is going to keep beef cattle, pigs, sheep, chickens, etc., so they live to a ripe old age enjoying the freedom to roam around the farm.

9/11 and it's causes.

Went down a massively worrying rabbit hole with conspiracy theories for a couple of years. Started believing all sorts of nonsense. I remember having a proper argument with Bolty about it on here many moons ago.

This massive cull is severely fucked up...

I rarely eat red meat these days, especially nitrate laden processed stuff like bacon, sausages etc.

Cut down on poultry and fish as well, past few years relented to drinking protein shakes when training (Stevia sweetened stuff, bit dearer but...) instead of arsing about with poached chicken, tuna, cottage cheese, skimmed milk etc.

Couldn't go veggie, did so from about 13-21, I was constantly hungry and it was probably the least healthy I've ever ate.

I'd end up a fat bastard (cheese, dairy, nuts, seeds etc.) or a flatulent twat (legumes, beans, pulses etc.) or impotent (soya and other plant protein) reliant on these for protein.

Why don't they present every Police Station in the land with a pig to use as a cheery mascot or to slay and use its corpse in a cannibalistic feast?

Puppies

Gary Neville

Nuclear weapons

Arming the Police.

Olives

Changed my mind on all of them

Wondering what bus to catch in Manchester after tomorrows game, the 34 or the V1 back to Leigh.

Gary Neville the fithy bastard. He is right on most things recently and that disturbs me.

Tory party. Since owning my own company it was just a given that they would be on your side. In fact there was a fag paper difference if you were a small business.

Not only that, you are competing against big businesses that didn't pay their way in terms of tax and VAT. You have to suck it up buttercup!

Free school meals.

And this universal credit removal.

I've voted tory all my life and feral cunts milking the system should be sterilised and have their names changed by deed poll to actual names that aren't waynetta... 🤣

But on here last year esco changed my mind with their experiences of school dins.

Universal credit increase removal I was like "yeah fucking get rid you bastards and get a job" but I've just paid 8 quid for a bottle of wine that cost 6.50 a year ago.

Inflation innit

When I was very young, I supported United because all my mates did (L/H)

I went to Burnden for the last match of the 65/66 season. The rest is history.

Don’t judge me.

Oh we judge you alright.

Declan RIce. One of my favourite fooballers to watch now. Couldn't see it initially or didn't want to because of the hype

Changed career. Got qualified in travel and tourism. Free holidays innit. Got made redundant over and over again. Had enough of it.

Hello NHS, you're not making me redundant any time soon (hopefully)
