Unless it’s something exceptionally shite - Pizza Plate games against U21s, I’m looking at you - I find it a little odd that people seem to actively go out of their way to avoid going to a Bolton Wanderers game. Couldn’t give a shit who were playing (U21s example excepted), I go to watch Bolton.

Agree 100%.  Who cares who we're playing?  If its Man City and we lose 5-0, or Shrewsbury and we win 2-1, which is better?

Seen something on Twitter that we’ve sold 2k for tomorrow I’m calling bullshit on that

if we have that’s embarrassing & pathetic

Looking at the seat map, can’t be many more. I bet it isn’t 3k

It’s not bullshit it’s entirely down to the ridiculous membership scheme the club have foisted upon us. Do the 5k County fans have to join the scheme for their tickets, or any other away fans? No. This will come back to bite the club big time and they deserve it, it’s utter stupidity.

It's amazing. A 3 year old Stockport fan didn't have to join the register to buy a ticket for this cup tie and had the opportunity to buy an upper tier seat. It's usually the away fans that are treated badly in football but its the home fans at Bolton!

I’m not a fan of the membership scheme

but we have 10k season ticket holders surely we can muster at least half of them

Why the fuck would an away fan have to join a home team membership scheme FFS

10k Bolton fans are automatically members as they are automatically joined

And whats the big issue with registering as a member?? - prior to this if you ordered tickets to be delivered - you had to give your name and address - obviously - and I think an email address - To register as member you have to give name and address - email address - and DOB - Is all the non believers too shy to let the club no how old they are??

Definitely have the train to themselves up to Horwich parkway.

It's a bit shit for them that we have sold fuck all, it's a game, it's a fucking tenner, get the fuck on it 🤷

See you at the Hotel bar 12 bells, no queuing 😁

It’s sad really isn’t it that as a ST holder of very long standing, the club don’t trust me to buy a ticket for this game unless I join some totally unnecessary and divisive membership scheme that they’ve decided is required? We need to be encouraging people into the ground not putting obstacles in their way. Yes, I know it only takes a minute but surely that’s not the point. What exactly is it going to achieve? Well we’ll see today won’t we when people vote with their feet and stay away. Surely as a ST holder I’m already by default a “member” and if that’s not good enough for the management then they need to think again. Let’s see if they do because not only could this cost us thousands in revenue, but also deflate the players and possibly lead to defeat. Just like BoJo had to UTurn, I think the club ought to accept their mistake and do the same.

I'm suspicious about how the membership shit will be used, but if there's 2 or 3k bolton there tmrw. It won't be because of it

I actually see this as an attractive tie

Big away following, sarcevic

Being away stops me going and imo, it being a Sunday is an influence, too

I thought if you had a season ticket you didn't need to join? Or have I misunderstood that?

I think you’re completely missing the point 2003. The ten thousand ST aren’t the problem, we can’t run the club on ten thousand, we need casuals as well and many just won’t subscribe and we’ll lose them. Surely you see that? I’m actually not sure you’re correct about ST holders being automatically joined either. As far as I understand it, you still need to separately join for non ST games. Of course away fans won’t join and that surely is what makes a farce of it? If it’s for crowd control reasons, away fans are more likely to be a problem than our own. Sorry but unlike you I think this is a very bad and unnecessary move and will cost us.

Definitely didn't need more than a ST for Wycombe away

I'm anti, but it's really not a massive obstacle

Still shit, though

Official Membership will become mandatory for ALL fans wishing to purchase home and away League and Cup match day tickets from - and including - the first round FA Cup fixture versus Stockport County on Sunday 7th November (excluding season ticket holders for LEAGUE fixtures, at this point).

So unless they have changed it and I haven’t received anything to say they have, even ST holders can’t buy cup tickets without joining?

It does seem to have been tweaked since then yes. It will let season ticket holders buy online without a membership.

FFS, Matt/2003 are correct.

ST holders automatically become members for this season.

Incorrect screeching from some folks.

That makes more sense Matt but you’d like to think if they’ve tweaked it or amended it they’d let ST holders know, or better still just bin it altogether for me? 😠

Any help gratefully received.  Just purchased a seat for tomorrow, thinking I would print at home, but even though the purchase was confirmed, there's no link to the ticket to print it.   Under Ticket Management it says I currently don't have any tickets to manage.  Tried ringing ticket office but its just ringing out.  How do I print a ticket?
