Dunno

Bradman played on pitches that were like cobbled streets wearing a cloth cap some hay over his shins, and he still clattered everyone over the rope to end with simply unimaginable figures. Then again, WG Grace did the same.

Id honestly put Warne as his equal but as a bowler.

The best 5 cricketers of all time are Warne, Bradman, Grace, Anderson and Tendulkar.

Brian Lara has to be pushing for a place.

I’m sorry, and I have huge respect for Wisden, but any list of greatest cricketers that doesn’t feature Jimmy Anderson is immediately a load of bogwank

I totally love Jimmy, but is he even Lancashire’s best ever?

Until Parkinson overtakes him, yes.

Statham is close, but Jimmy is number one for me.

Trouble is, he doesn't play that much for lancs.

Central contracts and all that.

Yeah mate. State funeral being planned and they are renaming a stand at the MCG after him.

What about the ashes?

The mourners will snort them at the wake - 80% pure.

Looks like the family are going to accept the offer of a state funeral. Fair enough. But am I the only one thinking it's a bit ott?

I think when they say State funeral they mean State of Victoria rather than full Australian ‘state’ with military and all that.

Could be wrong, but it was Dan Andrew’s who approved it not Scott Morrison.

Is there an alternative in Bolton other than trying to get a GP appointment?

For a health check you mean? Or just for a GP appointment?

Yeah, sorry it was in response to the question you asked Mick.  I've been meaning to get my blood pressure and cholesterol checked for ages but it's very difficult to get an appointment at the GP and I didn't want to clog up the service while they were dealing with covid and in & out of lockdown.

I'll send you a PM! 👍
