Bazball/Travball, something is working. 👍🏏🏴 Yet Test Cricket is dying on its arse. Equivalent to boxing to how it far it's fallen. Sure, it gives English people a chance to get pissed in the sun for a few weeks (and let's face it, that's all it's good for), but viewership is at an all-time low and coverage just getting worse. It'll just be 4 teams playing it in a few years. Edited December 26, 2025Dec 26 by jmjhb

December 27, 2025Dec 27 Why's stokes not taking the ball from the start? He's clearly our best bowler Vaughan did touch on it and he reckons there's an element of him feeling sorry for the team and he has to be seen to be giving them a chance

December 27, 2025Dec 27 Popular Post Got too love the Aussies.😅 Loads of Bolton fans here. We were at the traffic crossing yesterday and an Aussie/British family stood next to us. The young lad, about 9, kept staring at my son’s Bolton badges. The father apologised and explained that the lad’s grandfather used to play for us and loved all things BWFC. Who? I asked. Garry Jones he said! Well he couldn’t have met a bigger fan than me and I spent 20 minutes talking to them about his career and how I met him at the Reebok in a box just two weeks before he died. I’m not sure who got more out of the conversation. I suspect it was me. Garry’s son moved here years ago and the lad was born here.
December 27, 2025Dec 27 Cricinfo ‘what an excellent power play for England.’ Sums it up very well 😬😂 I will be stealing that Edited December 27, 2025Dec 27 by Ani
December 27, 2025Dec 27 Very entertaining! First test win in Oz for 15 years! Winning over there has to start somewhere. Win again in Sydney then bring on 2029! In fact save it for 2033 - Think I might go to that one! 😂 To our Bolton fans over there @BobyBrno and all the Barmy Army enjoy your night!

Wonderful. On to Sydney. 👍 Edited December 27, 2025Dec 27 by BobyBrno
December 27, 2025Dec 27 Yeah, I was the same just taking it all in and I saw the flag and I knew whose it was. That 30 minutes or so after the game had finished was an amazing experience in itself. It was such a relief to get those final runs. Even when Stokes was out and we only needed 10 runs, 4 wickets left but not knowing if Atkinson was fit to bat, it was still nerve wracking. Your pic is Flinder Street station, we were probably in the Young and Jackson pub on the other corner at that time, we’re in there every day, a great boozer for the cricket banter. Fly to Sydney Wednesday where we start it all again

It is and history will end up showing that a 3-2 series loss was a close thing when England were woeful in the first three. The Aussies know how to set the series up from a playing surface perspective. They always leave Melbourne and Sydney until last for a reason. They are expecting to be two or three up by the time these venues come around. My local Aussie mates have been very low key in the circumstances. Normally the gloating would be almost unbearable but they have been very reflective and critical of their own team. "Australia shit but England shitter" is the current mantra. I suspect that this uncharacteristically reasonable analysis is likely to be connected to having to put up with me for a good few years
January 3Jan 3 Ready. C’mon England, let’s make this two on the trot. https://www.mcgrathfoundation.com.au/
