It's a shame really. An England win would have probably meant a competitive away Ashes for once. It's more likely 4-0 btw. It pisses down in Sydney so that match drawn.

Did an SCG tour a couple of years ago and the guide was quite proud to say that more cricket days have been lost at the SCG than Old Trafford. I got quite emotional.😊

Having spent a lot of time there and will hopefully continue to do so, I can confirm it’s true. It’s warm rain though.😉

I'm sure even you will admit that 14/1 for the 5:0 white wash is well worth a humble £10

I'm not sure they'll thrash us that badly, but the odds were just too good, as we will lose, I have little doubt about that, just probably 3-1 or 4-1 in reality.

Fucking defeatists everywhere. You really think Australia were that impressive? No chance of Root rediscovering his mojo?

I'll KTF.

Love Sydney, but I'd also love to be rich enough to live there.

I honestly don’t think the wicket was bad. The first day was just about good bowling and poor batting. Today, the Aussies seemed to get movement off the pitch but were also very disciplined. Our bowlers were the opposite. Our batters were poor apart from Atkinson and Carse. Both Pope and Duckett could have gone before the break by playing and missing outside off stump.
As Michael Vaughan said, be positive but with intelligence.
All imo of course. There are a thousand opinions out there about this amazing Test. 😊

Fair enough.

Must have been really bad batting for 19 wickets to topple in a day.

Anyway, Vaughan is right, but it's not new.

Results have been much better in recent years, but playing the situation is also a component of successful.

I had one poor fucker arrive from Manc yesterday. He could only get tickets for days 4 & 5 :D

To make him feel better, I have promised him a cruise up the West Coast Highway in the V8 today with some lunch at a beachside gastro pub. The fucking weather has turned! Glorious recently - pissing down this morning but showing signs of at least turning dry by noon.

Hope so or the beast is staying covered in her garage spot and I'll be taking him in the Triton. You can't frighten a Triton 😉

Pink ball match today in Canberra.  I think it was set up as a preparation for the one in Brisbane.
It isn’t.
It could give fringe players a chance to shine. Konstas for Oz and Bethall for England.
Aus. 308/8 dec

Eng. 30/0
