Their body language has been all wrong this time in. None of the boastful swagger - there have been genuine concerns expressed about who is available and who is actually in their team. Too early to be sure yet but I think you might have been on the wrong tram. Sadly, it looks like i'm right Quote

If ever there was a perfect example. Crawley doing what he always does, but it is clearly a wicket that is doing plenty. They also talk a lot of shit Vaughan reckoned 250 would be enough It's looking like 550 wouldn't have been enough Quote
jayjayoghani Posted November 22, 2025 Posted November 22, 2025 With the Gabba up next, looks like 2-0 doesn't it. Quote

Spider Posted November 22, 2025 Posted November 22, 2025 Crawley can fuck off, fuck off a bit more, then fuck off a lot further. Never known a bloke get away with turning in 1 or 2 performances a year then just dialling it in for the rest. I fucking hate the cunt. Doubtless he’ll get a big score at some point here than keep his place for the next 12,000 years. Quote
Spider Posted November 22, 2025 Posted November 22, 2025 (edited) On the plus side, cricket Australia will have to refund about £5million quid for tickets sold for days 3 and 4 That’s a big win for us. Edited November 22, 2025 by Spider Quote
CambridgeBWFC Posted November 22, 2025 Posted November 22, 2025 This is rank, as soon as things start to go against us we crumble. Bowling all over the shop at the moment Quote
CambridgeBWFC Posted November 22, 2025 Posted November 22, 2025 Embarassing performance today, firstly giving wickets away and then gave up in the field after about 10 overs. Quote

I'm sure even you will admit that 14/1 for the 5:0 white wash is well worth a humble £10 I'm not sure they'll thrash us that badly, but the odds were just too good, as we will lose, I have little doubt about that, just probably 3-1 or 4-1 in reality. BobyBrno Posted November 22, 2025 Posted November 22, 2025 I’ll try to be my usual positive self. I’ve watched every ball of this match. At lunch today we were clear favourites to win this Test match. Head did today what Stokes has done previously. One day he may become England coach and we’ll all call it Head Ball. 😊 Got to learn from this though. Starc and Bolan had a plan and it worked. The same plan the Aussies had for Root the last time we played in Oz. in 21/22. Still 4 to play. 👍 Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted November 22, 2025 Posted November 22, 2025 Performance and approach is one thing, but was the wicket disappointing? Not conducive to 5 days of cricket. Of course England need to improve- hubris as much as anything- but games shouldn't be over so quickly. Quote

The first day was just about good bowling and poor batting. Today, the Aussies seemed to get movement off the pitch but were also very disciplined. Our bowlers were the opposite. Our batters were poor apart from Atkinson and Carse. Both Pope and Duckett could have gone before the break by playing and missing outside off stump. As Michael Vaughan said, be positive but with intelligence. All imo of course. There are a thousand opinions out there about this amazing Test. 😊 Quote
MalcolmW Posted November 22, 2025 Posted November 22, 2025 The determination to try and score as quickly as possible left the hosts with over 3 days to reach 205 - at less than one run per over. Giving Head his, erm, head enabled the other end to take anchor in casr they needed to work on days 3, 4 or 5. Quote
jayjayoghani Posted November 22, 2025 Posted November 22, 2025 It's a shame really. An England win would have probably meant a competitive away Ashes for once. It's more likely 4-0 btw. It pisses down in Sydney so that match drawn. Quote

People will make judgments about the way England try to play and use or abuse the term ‘Bazball’ What Travis Head did today was what Brendon McCullum did as a player and what he is trying to instil in this England side. It doesn’t always work. It worked for Travis Head and the Aussies today. Quote
