Oh, petal, you're doing your old gishy gallop thing again.

I'm afraid, your gold star has to be taken back.

Maybe next week.

No where does he try to tell people not to make the journey, this would have been a great time and platform for him. Obviously he just wanted a few lines in a red top to boost his profile.

Yes there is, it's all pretty accessible which is why this new legislation won't get passed.

There was a recent radio 4 programme about it, and the numbers missing because of lack of processing was scary if I recall.

Can you access it for me - and then present it to me in a readable format so that I can make an informed decision please?  😁

Problem solved lads - we’ve just bought the French a slap up dinner and they’ve “pwomised, ‘and on ‘eart” to stop the bots for us.

We believe them, don’t we?

Since the previous agreement, reports are saying around 50% of crossings are being prevented. Hence why they are moving launch sites further south.

Things seem to be moving in the right direction.

Still work to do.

Did you read the article?

He was still an illegal immigrant. He'd have been slung out now. You do see the issue, don't you?

There are safe routes for war torn countries… see Ukraine & Syria. So no I don’t see the issue…the message must be find a safe route & don’t travel on an illegal and unsafe route. Don’t you agree that’s the correct and proper message to send.

They weren't at war when he travelled. It had ended. He would have been sent home under these new proposals.

If people are desperate they will make horrible choices none of us would want to, you are applying the logic of a person safe in a country, many are desperate. They wouldn't make the journey otherwise.

I mean, Dritan will be in Oldham, go and watch it, see his life and those of thousands of others and why they make these decisions.

I still don't understand where this phrase illegal immigrant came from?

As I understand it an illegal immigrant is someone who has travelled here and has not claimed asylum or has claimed asylum  but disappeared since. Am I wrong?

If you haven't even reached our shores and are on a dinghy in the English Channel, how are you an illegal immigrant? Or was that what the set of laws passed last year did?

It’s great he’s made a new life for himself, however he could of died on crossing, he could of chose asylum in the first country he landed in and he should of done that.. the UK can’t absorb the number of folk who want to come here, the government were voted in to control our borders and need to make sure they get on top of it before the next election. We need to somehow stop illegal routes, that will save life’s and allow us to take more folk via legal and safe routes… no one should oppose that remit.

But, people will keep trying, just trying to shut down routes isn't going to simply stop it. His parents wouldn't want to have sent him, they felt they had no choice. Actually the bulk of the story is about the Foster system.

Which is why it needs a much more holistic and humane approach with closer partnership working in Europe.

Anyway, I do get your point, but honestly go and have a watch, it's a great show and it certainly opened up me to.a lot of issues I know I wasn't aware of.

The Albanians are all over Blackpool now having already conquered the north west. They have every area covered with runners.

Mad how they have managed to take over areas with what seems like little resistance.

Cash laundered through the 6 million Turkish barbers across the north west too :)

I've posted this before

my mum reckons the albanians are taking over horwich

she tells me this one guy started off working in the kitchen at leos

now he owns several barbars and cafes on lee lane, far more than are required, you can spot them all because they all have the same black and red signage

he also opened a pound shop, then went in the other pound shops intimidating the owners about how he was the top pound shop in the area now

She may have a point.

There’s a new shop just opened and all it sells are bowls of tavë kosi and portraits of Enver Hoxha.

The owner drives a BMW with headlights that turn into machine guns.

Still no darkies in the parish though.

I've just had a quick google and counted 46 barbershops and salons in Horwich. Madness.

The people of Horwich spend all their money on their eyebrows apparently.

All run by Albanians. Called Janine.

Aye

He could've tried other niches but went with an already very saturated market

This in turn is what fuels suspicions

It’ll not end well, and to think some folk are gullible enough to think they are genuine asylum seekers.

Maybe these Albanians in Horwich had the money and skills to move here and set up a better life for themselves and their families? You know, like Brit's who emigrate to Spain...
