  • Can not speak for @gonzo but coming back yesterday we ended up with one  of our seats double booked with a protester. We chatted most of the way back, I told him I  was not a supporter and he was fine

  • I just wish folk would stop producing bollocks information and spreading it. 3 kids have been murdered ffs and the first thing someone can think of is set up a fake twitter profile and post some

  • Anyone who thinks Starmer covered up for grooming gangs because he in some way thinks it’s ok, is off their fucking box. Hes a dull as shit, methodical legal cunt. Unfortunately, to get justice p

We get more worked up about the attendance numbers at football stadiums than we do our beleaguered churches.

Church attendance is at its lowest in history in Britain.

Claiming us to be a Christian nation is wafer thin. We don’t fucking turn up.

If the church was a football club it would be Bury FC.

Now, mosques, well - they’re building them as fast as we’re turning churches into offices and apartments.

So traditions should be binned?

I don't disagree with what you've just said btw.

I find it sad its just accepted

Give it 30 years and it'll be only something half the country are celebrating anyway ... no big deal though

Some British folk aren't arsed anyway

In all honesty, Christianity now represents a loose set of values and morals that vaguely define what it is to be “English”

we mock the monarchy and the church whilst clinging onto this whimsical, rather nebulous and idealistic notion of how we view ourselves.

Few will ever admit that Islam thrives because it has such a dedicated following.

Comparing it to football helps here. I’m sorry to say. But Islam vs Christianity in terms of population turning up is probably Man United vs Chorley.

So are people outraged now at not going through the rigmarole of outdated religious shite we hated when we were at school? At least I did anyway.

Are the snowflakes now insisting on Easter celebrations?

I’d imagine 90% of people celebrating Easter spend more money on chocolate eggs than they do putting a few coins in the collection plate down their local church

Bunch of snowflakes

It's odd that people on here are even outraged enough to raise it as an issue. Even odder that you've got one calling for a sacking of a professional he knows nothing about.

Easter in many schools has become nothing more than the odd colouring in sheet or easter egg hunt challenge. That's got nothing to do with 'leftie teachers' or the erosion of British values, it's just the way we're moving.

Easter eggs are now on sale in January. Consumer madness has caused far more damage to these traditions than teachers not teaching them.

Send your kids to a Christian school if you care so deeply.

Bottom line

In order to claim ourselves as a “Christian country” the gammons are using convenient reference points like Alfred the great and Spitfires again.

It’s all deflection. They’re about as Christian as Pontius Pilate.

Religious when they want a bank holiday but probably mock folk who quote the Bible and contribute absolutely fuck all to the church they claim to be defending.

The muzzies put us to shame. And it’s why they’re stronger.

Only for some.

I'm Christian ... I follow a god. Its the way I've been brought up. Through family and school ... something I can't leave.

I was christened in church ... Married in Church and I'll be sent off on my way in church.

You might mock that you don't have involvement ... but do.

How much have you tipped into the coffers of your church over the last few years, would you say?

Got you thinking haven't I?

Next time your kid brings something home from school about Easter or Christmas ... tell them to fuck off

Next time they have a play in church ... don't go because you don't agree

When they wanna church wedding .. what you going to say?

A family member dies ... you just going to sit there and listen to the vicar?

Big man Ginger giving it the thumbs down

Where have I said I have an issue?

Im merely holding up a mirror and you don’t seem to like what you see again.

We’re fucking hypocrites. Using the church when it suits us for bank holidays and the odd funeral and christening. Rest of the time the local church sits there being ignored.

Claim to defend it all you like, but when it matters, you’re nowhere to be seen and the roof keeps leaking.

Some truths are uncomfortable. That’s all. X

Can not remember last time I went to a church wedding, last few have been at venues.

Couple of recent funerals in churches but my dads was a humanist ceremony at the Crematorium, which iMO was miles better, the whole service was about him rather than random readings from a book.

We buy Easter eggs and celebrate Xmas, would prefer to go for a curry than traditional meal but MIL might explode. Step kids were bought up catholics and I did enjoy some of the church stuff but not been near since they left school and neither have the kids.

I’d say this is the norm these days.

So what exactly are we “defending”?

Not at all ... you clearly have a issue.

Nothing is dying if you uphold your belief. I do and you don't ... its that simple

I get why you feel uncomfortable ... you've given up

Ask you're grandparents or Mum & Dad what you've asked me.

They'll give you a answer

You probably won't though because deep down you know 👍🏻

Speaking in riddles here.

He's given up on something, not sure what but his grandparents know...But if he looks deep inside himself he'll find out.

The hell are you on about?

Should we all become devout Christians to avoid the Muslamic takeover ?

All because a Headteacher wrote a letter.

We all know what he's on about. And deep down, I think we all feel it to one degree or another. If we're being totally honest with ourselves. It's because we're human beings, and this is what human beings are. Tribal. All of us. No matter where you're from.

The question for me is, to what extent do each of us feel it? And do we think those feelings are worth acting on at this moment in time?

I just think some people like @bolty58and @royal white and @wanderer1984 have got a lower threshold than some of us. But we've all got a threshold. And fuck knows where the correct threshold is? Maybe I'm trying to be a bit less judgemental in my old age?

I am also very pissed by the way and getting all philosophical.

In my head I'm not being a cunt here - but I'm well aware that I might sound like one at this moment in time! So apologies in advance if this is the case. I love you all ❤️ thank you and goodnight! 😁✌️☮️🕊️🍑

Well said mate

It's attitudes like his that have got us to where we are today. Happy to piss away all culture that has evolved in the British Isles because of a particular type of left wing dogma allied with a craving for virtue signalling.

As previously stated, I would probably be the most committed atheist you'd ever meet. Doesn't stop me accepting that others have differing views or opinions towards Christian (or any other) faith, dwindling though it is.

Let it fucking well dwindle though and die a natural death. Not knock a wooden stake through its heart to satisfy the desires of foreign cultures.

Spider is just being an attention seeking contrary fucker like the Chorley chump.
