But I assume they still celebrate Christmas?

Let's be honest, which kids are arsed about the anniversary of the resurrection of Jesus?

They want a big fucking chocolate egg.

Likewise more people are bothered about Santa than the birth of Jesus, but that’s how Christians do it,

Yeah maybe. I can't find any energy to be arsed about it tbh. If I had my way there would be zero influence of any religion in school. Sure teach about the many forms of religion and how it has shaped our history and society.

We live in a secular society, thank god (no pun intended).  All religions should be taught in schools, primarily to teach tolerance and respect for all cultures, whether on these shores or overseas.  Surely education has to minimise prejudice and avoid fear, hence enhance cohesion in a multi cultural country and world.  What’s there to be scared of from this?  Looks like some folk on here are?

Children are not born racist or intolerant of others, so let’s educate them to remain so. I would however ban (any and all) faith schools which by definition will be biased/skewed towards one religion in particular.

It's a fucking Easter Bonnet mate.

You know kids wearing hats with baby chick's on them or flowers.

Folk are making out like all the kids will gather round and pray to Jesus whilst getting nonced up by the local priest.

It's a bit of fun for the kids ffs.

Sorry - I’m agreeing with you! Easter bonnets, Christmas trees, Diwali lights, Eid-ul-fitr etc etc - no harm here.

I have lived in areas of Bradford where 80% of the street were Asian, worked with folk from India and Israel on a project.

Do not think I have met anyone who does celebrate Xmas or certainly no one who objects to anyone else celebrating it ( or any other religious festival)

I worked with a Muslim girl whose family ran the local shop. People turned up at our house who were bringing puddings but forgot custard ! I drove round and the girl was working in the shop on Xmas day. They opened till 1 but had a family meal and gifts later in the day.  Not to the level as we all might do , but they certainly celebrated it.

Religion is IMO shit but it is people who make it dangerous.

Haha. You can keep your sarcy credit ❤️There's fck all special about anything I do😄

The point I made was what am I doing that means I'm responsible for the erosion of British traditions? As you can see, we follow similar traditions. We probably share a similar sense of despair at the erosion of local community and the values that came with that.

You agreed with the post mate & questioned it when I called the post out... So go for it, be brave and answer the question, how am I 'pissing away all the culture that has evolved on the British Isles'?

Be brave 😂

I'm going to wimp out ... can't be arsed going round in circles. Which is a common theme when you post.

Enjoy your Sunday evening x

Aye, be brave. You liked it, so back it up x

Circles 😂 The only circle is you continually struggling to prove how I'm pissing away British traditions ffs.

It was a fckn ridiculous post 😄

Back to work tomorrow.. Morning prayers in our mosque corner, followed by letter writing to all the vulnerable refugees across the country in our literacy lesson. No lunch as we're all fasting in solidarity. Then an afternoon of throw the molotov at Jesus in PE.

Aye.

In all honesty, I knew you wouldn’t attempt to try. Wouldn’t be possible mate, because it’s pure drivel. What an odd world we live in where folk lap it all up.

 Night night x
