He goes on about some extremist types chanting "Death to arabs" but was OK with a cunt chanting "Death, death to the IDF" at a major televised music event.

Double standards rule OK?

Where did I say that the chant was okay ? I condemned it at the time. But said that you’ll struggle to prosecute a musician for calling for death to a military organisation accused of war crimes. It’s not the same as calling for death to Jews, or death to Arabs.

Stepping straight into RWs shoes from last night & just making stuff up 🤣

Doesn’t help your argument mate

this isn’t just a few fans. These are significant numbers of people who have a history of attacking Arabs & singing racist songs at previous European games. The WMP were quite clear in their statement that the decision was based on previous clashes between fans in Amsterdam.

The decision should be reversed either way.

United fans have been warned they can be arrested for chanting “the sun was right” at this weekends game 🤦🏻

Is this true? If so, what a sad indictment of where the UK has been led to by wokery.

Opposing opinions to the brainwashed mainstream not allowed any more?

To be clear, it is my belief that much of what The Sun said was right. Always the victim, it's never their fault.

Everyone who went to football in late 80s would have had a story of a potential Hillsborough so to claim they were in no way to blame was ludicrous.

The thing that really fycks me off with scousers is they continue to jib in for every major final ignoring the rules put in place because of the tragedy.

Tel Aviv shouldn't be in the tournament anyway, if russian teams are banned so should Israeli ones or they should be in Asian competitions.

Fuck um

Aye. Since when was Israel in Europe anyway?

His back peddling on this has been great to watch. Lads had a shocker! He should have just watched the game 😉

Back peddled on fck all pal

All I’ve done is highlight the significant number of racist hooligans who travel with Tel A Viv

it’s you who’ve interpreted that as me defending the decision. Seems you’re in a habit of making shit up of late.

First on the US thread & now here

Very odd behaviour

Isn't the reason they are in Uefa, Eurovision etc because the majority of the Middle East wants them all dead?

India and Pakistan play each other and they're always fighting in Kashmir.

Bit more complex than that…

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arab–Israeli_alliance

If they let Palestine exist & stop the constant land grabs, then they may over time gain more support. Doesn’t help that the UN commission have labelled it genocide either.

No doubt there will always be Islamists who want them gone. But they’re not doing themselves any favours when it comes to gaining international support.

And they want half the Middle East dead.

Either way. If they can’t play nicely with their neighbours I’m not sure why it should become European football’s problem.

I did. Funnily enough I never criticised you for not showing both sides. I just provided some more context 😊

If they’re SNP kids then they’ve already been indoctrinated I’m afraid. I’ll see if I can turn them full Marxist though 😉

Not back to work just yet mate, thanks to this lovely legislation

Shows what we’re capable of as a nation when parties stop bickering & work together on something 🇬🇧

Took the wee one on a walk past the Poppy Factory the other day. Have you been before ? Beautiful building & location. Can just about make it out on the chimney.

Two lies in one night 😁

Deary me

It’s great when people from all sides including our PM come out and call it for what it is straight away. You though….straight on to how bad they are and then papping on about radicals, like no clubs have idiots amongst  their fan base. You’ve outdone yourself here cocker. Embarrassing.

Fuck knows what that has to do with UEFA though

out of interest was just looking into this some more

Israel competes in the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) primarily due to political circumstances that led to its expulsion from the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).

Here's a breakdown of the key reasons and timeline:

1) AFC Membership and Boycotts: The Israeli Football Association (IFA) was a member of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) from 1954 to 1974. However, due to the Arab–Israeli conflict, many Arab and Muslim countries refused to play against Israel, leading to frequent boycotts in AFC competitions.

2) Expulsion from AFC: In 1974, a resolution proposed by Kuwait was passed by the AFC, resulting in Israel's expulsion from the confederation.

3) Years in the "Wilderness": For almost two decades, the Israeli national team was left without a continental governing body. During this time, they occasionally participated in FIFA World Cup qualifiers within the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) and sometimes UEFA or CONMEBOL (South America) qualifying tournaments, traveling vast distances. Israeli clubs also competed in the UEFA-affiliated Intertoto Cup from 1976.

4) Joining UEFA: In the early 1990s, the political climate allowed Israel to begin aligning with Europe for football.

1991: Israeli clubs started participating in European club competitions.

1992: Israel was admitted to UEFA as an associate member, and the national team began competing in the European leg of World Cup qualifying.

1994: Israel received full UEFA membership, which is where they have remained ever since.

Essentially, the move to UEFA was a solution to a political problem, ensuring that Israel's national and club teams could consistently compete in regular international football tournaments.
