One for @kent_white why are so many front line NHS staff refusing the flu vaccine? Ive read tonight that figures are around 60% that are refusing it and those anti vax nutters are loving it!

I don't know if 60% are REFUSING it. But I know something like 60% haven't HAD it. Which is different - but that's how it's being spun.

There's a very small percentage of anti vaxxers in the workforce (I know 🙄) - a larger number who are meaning to have it but can't get off the wards to the clinics the hospitals put on, an even larger number who keep forgetting, and a significant number who don't want to feel potentially under the weather for a couple of days while they're doing 13 hour days/nights. There's also a little bit of god complex I always feel - clinicians rarely like to admit that they're as prone to picking up a virus and anybody else is.

Hospitals need to do better at taking the vaccine to the wards and vaccinating people who are on (or are just leaving) a shift. Or timing the vaccine offer for a time when front line staff are about to start some time off. But that's very difficult when they're operating on not much more than a skeleton crew. So I have got some sympathy. Logistically it can be quite tough to manage.

FWIW - Bolton does comparatively well with staff vaccinations I'm pleased to say.

On a slightly different note, my mate a qualified plumber for over 35 years, fitted  me as walk in shower a few weeks back, he did it for 'mates rates' I paid the money into his bank, he rang me the day after to say he hadn't got the money, I checked my bank and it was 'withheld until they speak to me', I rang them and they ran the details past me, the account was to my mate and they had checked his details with his bank, they said they had not released the payment because he was not registered on Companies House as a plumbing business. I told them to release the money as it is fuck all to do with them who I pay money to

reminds me of this I saw the other day

Birmingham is going to be lively later

Are their fans still banned or are they going to be there tonight? I'm confused about where it's all up to now.......

Their fans are banned but SYL's cronies are supposed to be rocking up 'in support of the Jewish community' for some reason.

Definitely only because they're pro-Jew ... and definitely not because they're anti-Muslim.

Obviously, why would you think otherwise?

Our fight UK didn’t get the memo that they weren’t banned because they were Jewish did they.

What a massive amount of piss and wind.

And most of it is coming from the “no politics in football” mongotroids

Unlimited stop and search powers

Zero tolerance to carrying a bladed item

Automatic sentence using AI programme

Labour camp fixing potholes or some other hard job

And ban general sales of all knives with pointed ends

I thought it was just GBeebies reporting on this stuff ?

been a few of these investigations by the BBC in the past year.

What are you fucking papping on about now?

Is this meant to suggest that GB didn't have an opening to operate in?

You're fucking desperate.

Perhaps have a look at the BBC's Arabic service- fully funded by the government and using extremely dodgy people (terror links).

Just for a bit of balance.

Can't have a zero tolerance to carrying a bladed item.

Sometimes it's necessary for work, or a hobby.

The law already has scope for the authorities to assess whether something that is being carried, was being done for legitimate reasons.

There'll be clusters of the silly cunts taking pot shots at the Macabi fans all day long.

That was part of the initial reasoning.

Not all on some ultras and a tweet from TR as others would have you believe.

Christ this is a bit of an overreaction.

This is just meant to show that it’s not just one organisation doing it. And notice how they highlight a serious problem, without whipping us into a frenzy that we’re being invaded by military aged men.

I don’t watch BBC Arabic - what are their links to terrorism?
