On a slightly different note, my mate a qualified plumber for over 35 years, fitted  me as walk in shower a few weeks back, he did it for 'mates rates' I paid the money into his bank, he rang me the day after to say he hadn't got the money, I checked my bank and it was 'withheld until they speak to me', I rang them and they ran the details past me, the account was to my mate and they had checked his details with his bank, they said they had not released the payment because he was not registered on Companies House as a plumbing business. I told them to release the money as it is fuck all to do with them who I pay money to

I'm not registered in that sense, and haven't joined any trade associations.

I went into the bank to draw 750 quid cash and she asked me why I wanted it...told her straight it was none of her business and if I wanted to buy some drugs in bulk it had nothing to with her. 

The system is clamping down on small time cash deals between ordinaty folk whilst letting mass financial fraud occur on every high street and disused filling station by people whose age and origin cannot be traced, even if a digital identity card was introduced.

Country needs an enema.

I think it’s hard to report it as most folk are working the system rather than blatant fraud. Loads round here seem to have loads and don’t work. DWP even have staff living in the apartments behind mine

My tenant in the flat was claiming this was happening loads to him but I suspect that’s because he’s been done for fraud and on the radar.
