More benefits for none workers, more tax for the grafters. Also been told that pension age will move to 75 (don’t know timeline but discussions ongoing) & Salary sacrifice to be capped at 4k in 2029… that’ll stop folk ever retiring. Cuntish moves. Thats off top of my head as don’t follow politics anymore….  They all make me sick.

Tbf the ones you have been told about rather than actually happening do not count as things he has done. They are things he has not done.

That removes the retire at 75… however I know it’s under discussion within government and civil service and very likely to happen at some stage. While benefit mob get a cheque every month for nothing…. You have to wander where the incentive is in working.

Again to be fair. These are speculative discussions - not policy. And it's at the extreme end of the spectrum of possibilities. And it came from a report from a centre right think tank called the Centre for Social Justice (founded by Iain Duncan Smith) who suggested today's school children may not receive their state benefit until the age of 75. Hard to blame KS or the Labour Party for that, surely?

PS - I looked that up - I'm not pretending to have known this already! 😁

If Starmer and Labour weren’t so shite then Reform and Farage wouldn’t be getting so popular.

I think the collapse of the Tory Party is also a major contributing factor to Reform's popularity.

Yep, you can also add the popularity of the greens growing down to Labour being dog shit,

File both under the rise of populists peddling simple solutions in the age of social media and soundbites. Are the mainstream parties 'shit' or just have a less appealing 'retail offer' down to not promising as many simple solutions?

I think they’re all guilty of that.

Sometimes solutions can be simple.

Just needs the will and nous to make it happen.

Unfortunately, society is riddled with unnecessary bureaucracy, and artificial barriers that stop folk taking responsibility rather than just doing a job.

That applies to government, civil service and indeed in private sector and volunteering.

Meanwhile in our capital City, more fkin idiots marching against……well I’m not sure to be honest, but some were proudly waving the Iranian regime flag

And in other parts of London there’s a remembrance service for Khamenei.

I think it looks quite nice as far as mosques go. Although I reserve the right to change my mind if they paint it white and green - which always looks tacky when it's against the backdrop of red bricked houses.

As you have been a regular mosque visitor, I take my shoes off to your expertise in this matter.
