Interesting to read everyone's take on the game.

I thought it was a good game for a 0-0, two decent enough teams wanting to win but not wanting to lose and therefore nullifying each other to a degree.

Dion should have scored.
Subs upset the flow of the game : again
New back three impressive again, I like Toal, he's raw & keen and has a good attitude towards defending. He's likely to drop a clanger here and there, but so far so good, reminds me a little of Mark Came.

It wasn't a bad point, play like this away at Lincoln/Barnsley and we emerge 4pts better off and we've had a good festive period.

The main positive of the last month is Toal.  Nobody knew if he would make it before then, few can doubt it any more, he's definitely L1 standard and may get better.  Brings something different with his galloping, positive style.  Reminded me of Came from day one but I didn't mention it as he's clearly far better technically than Came (but less physical).  A caller on Radio Manc said the same, so its not just us.  I don't think Toal will be playing as an emergency CF any time soon though.

Them coaching badges obviously werent wasted

Fwiw, even though lee and sheehan came off, there was more to the change than that

Way too much overthinking going on imo

2 top 6 teams have cancelled each other out

1 of em misses the best chance of the game and couldve won it with the last kick

The other came nearest to scoring

One last thing, can the sadlier fanclub tell me why they think evatt doesnt play him much

No whataboutery, its a simple enough question

Sadlier in his short game time back end of last and this season has done much more then your precious Elias

I thought Bolton had to give it  100%  to match a Derby team that coasted through the match.I'll be shocked if Derby don't win the return fixture and finish higher in the table. The wages being paid no doubt reflects this.Evatt should be praised for how well Bolton defended today.

I wouldn't describe myself as sadlier fan club but I don't understand why he doesn't get much game time up top when he's probably one of our most effective forwards in terms of goals/assists etc per minute

He's a very positive player and I'd like to see more of him

I can't tell you why evatt doesn't

Same goes for John

The caller is a very good friend of mine.

Well that's fair enough, but as I say it's not like there's a bar with much choice so I'd politely disagree. Add to that the fact I was stood in front of someone that kicked up a fuss to get a Carling top last week, my faith in our fan base's ale taste is none to high. 😂

This tops mushy peas on Christmas Dinner. Carling fucking top! 🤣

It's also £4.85 for a pint of the piss now and it's going up again in April apparently.

Absolute horse shit.

They might finish higher (by cheating, scrapping, fouling and mauling to a higher position) but fuck me they’re a terrible watch, even on a bad day we were much better footballing team. If they are paying bigger wages which I don’t doubt it, then the players they have are laughing all way to the bank because they aren’t even close to being anything but bang average.

Ignore the munich cunt hes just on a fishing trip.

They were actually one of the worst *better sides I’ve seen here the last couple of seasons. Just very workman like.

there’s absolutely nothing stand out between first and 7th or 8th. Just all down to consistency. We go from a 8/10 to a 5 then a 7 then a 4 etc etc

the top 3 seem to stay at a 7/10 more often and even when they dip to a 5 come away with something whereas we throw it away (like Shrewsbury)

Correct it’s just been so stop start for us this season

said before the amount of games and points dropped is mad we won’t finish top 6 getting beat at Cheltenham , FGR etc

We need the consistency as currently for me we’re hanging onto our play off spot, hopefully he can add some new players January

Yes I know😀 but I’m saying come may we won’t unless it improves

As soon as santos is fit, hes straight back in

Hes the best header in the team abd he allows us NOT to go long to bradley as he can take the ball from traf. Johnston is ok, toal maybe, but Aimson, while a decent defender, is not one you want having the ball 20 yards out

Hes a fucking enormous miss

Deary me

Santos best header in defence.

Not in attack .

Unbelievable that he is yet to score .

100% straight back in when fit none of the others have the attributes Santos has.

It’s actually nice it’s not obvious who to take out on Santos return. I like all of them.

It’s obvious to me. Aimson!

And me, but not because hes a bad defender

In fact, i really like his defending

Jones will be on the bench, too, imo

Unless we do something off the wall with bradley

Oh aye, santos looks like the quickest of the group, too

Im actually amazed its even a discussion

Not saying he shouldn’t feature again however

that defence is unchanged in 2 games and played very well in both, so if they continue he waits simple

His pace and ball use are very good.

He's also more likely to make an enormous cock up.

If you look at defenders in L1 past & present  they score a good few goal, yes his jobs to defend but attacking wise he offers nothing  when really for his size and being a good header of the ball should, aimson & johnston have assists & goals under their belts since joining

some won’t like this but santos ain’t fit to lace wheater or beevers boots
